WILD interrupted by swallowing?

I frequently have problems making it through a WILD successfully, mostly because I have to swallow. No matter how I lay down- on my back, side stomach, etc, I always have to swallow after maybe 10 minutes at most. Once I focused so hard on not swallowing, that I missed my opportunity for the WILD. Even then, not long after, my gag reflex activated involuntarily because spit was sliding down my throat slowly, or at least my mind thought there was. Does anyone else have this extremely frustrating problem, and does anyone know how to overcome it?

In my experience, swallowing can indeed mess up the transition, but the transition is only a very short span of time. Very unlikely to occur at the same time with the swallowing unless you are focussing on not swallowing, which can take a long time. So the solution for me was.. swallow.

99% of the time, for me, there is no saliva. I swallow involuntarily, but there is no saliva. This can mess up a WILD but it doesn't take me that long to get back into.

Here's something that greatly works for me. Get a rag or something and lie on your side. Then just let your drool drip on the rag.

I have this problem too. Sometimes I try to breathe through an open mouth, or otherwise, try to focus away from it, like on your third eye.

If you are a lucky one who can swallow without mentally noticing it, that's fantastic. Most are like me I suppose and we think it will stuff up our WILD, and that thought in itself stuffs up our WILD. IMO same as Chayba, if it is at the beginning of the WILD it may not do any real damage to the process, but as you enter the more fuller stages of WILD, it can waste the long time you have been trying for, especially at transition.

I have the same problem. I just can't have a wild because of the uncontrollable urge to swallow, even drooling doesn't help my throat still does the reflex.

If I have to sallow, I swallow. It doesn't affect my wild at all.
