How do you know for sure when you have gone through SP?

I have been trying for ages to WILD, but a lot of the techniques seem to say you move your dream body, the same way you would your normal, but you know that you are in SP so you will move your dream body. What's this all about and how do you know when you have gone through SP? I try relaxing for a while, and feel the vibrations, and had what I think were Hypnagonic(?)
hallucinations, but it me 2 hours, and I eventually gave up. I moved, and did an RC. It wasn't a dream. So how do you know for sure?

If you're trying to feel full SP, you're doing it WRONG. The way you're supposed to WILD is, you get about half way through SP, then you start making the dream and entering it. By the time you can walk around in the dream, your body will automatically be in full SP.

      You'll know when you're in a dream.

You'll feel SP then you'll feel it go away quickly, then RC.

You kind of just know. For example, last night I felt a wind rush past my ears. I did a rc 15-30 seconds after and I was in a dream. A lot of people get confused with SP.

More examples that happen to me:

      - Loud noise
      - I imagine something( rubbing my hands together) and start to actually feel it happen.
      - feel my surroundings change. An example here is that I feel like I am in another room or there is someone else in the room with me.

After these happen, wait 30 seconds to a min and do a reality check. The feeling of going numb is not a good indicator of anything.
