Lucid Dreamer's Brainwaves and Binaural Entrainment to them?

I wonder if any attempt to monitor the brainwaves (an EEG) of an experienced lucid dreamer from first lying down through the levels of dreaming all the way to waking up has been made. With that data, hypothetically, anyone that wanted to could have a lucid dream if they entrained their brainwaves to the same frequencies as the recorded dreamer had using binaural beats. Do you think this would work?

I think monitoring brainwaves of a lucid dreamer having an LD has been done, many times.

Presumably getting to the same brainwaves might help, but I don't think it would actually cause you to become lucid just because you were at the same frequencies. Even at the same frequencies, brains and minds work differently. It might help you become lucid though, if it brings you up to a greater level of awareness during the dream.

I'm not sure, but that's what I think is probably true.

      Hi Ain! Welcome on board.

There have been many experiments with EEG, one of our members, LucidApple, has experimented extensively with EEG and lucid dreaming.

You might want to search for EEG on this site as well as entrainment or BWGEN

There has been quite a bit of discussion.

Yeah, Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming is extremely cheap off somewhere like amazon, because it's from 1991, but it's still very relevant. It has a lot of information about experiments with lucid dreaming, involving brainwaves and similar things.

Hehe, but I like to have books on paper...it gives them a nicer feel, and I find they're easier to read.

Yeah, unless you have a laptop and a wireless connection, you cannot take it to read on the toilet like you can a book! =P

I agree, I love books! Real, solid, musty smelling books...

Crisp, dry pages...smooth, shiny covers...ah, the joy of good books. Personally, I keep EtWoLD by my bed, so I can use it if I'm trying WBTB or just want something to read before I go to sleep.
