Getting so close but missing something...

      Hi,
I've spent a lot of nights getting what I think is close to a WILD. I lie awake at night, just thinking, and then I would feel a kind of sensation (Kind of like an electrical surge throughout my senses, and sounds slightly like a scream to my ears). These 'screams' would happen more and more frequently until I enter sleep paralysis, or what I think it is.
What I feel at this point is a weird sound and I think I'm observing hypnagogic hallucinations. My body feels like it's tremoring and I see white light with a lot of unreal things.
I keep failing at this point. I notice that I can still feel my bed or I feel my mouth getting dry. All of the images fade away and then I open my eyes and end up back in my room.
Last night, I was able to count down from 100 to 93 thinking to myself "I'm dreaming".

How close am I? Am I doing something wrong?

Hi i am new to this forum but will try to help.

Perhaps you should let yourself go,if you try to think too much about what is happening you could just wake up!

When you get the sensations just go with it and all of a sudden you will feel you are awake but be asleep.

It has taken me many years to control it at this point and sometimes i cant!

But if you are feeling paralysed then you are fighting it in my experience.

If you feel yourself drifting just let yourself go.

When you let yourself go you may just dream sometimes.

I had many many years of fighting it which lead to the feeling of paralysis and terror.

I am only just learning what Lucid and Vivid dreaming is.

But if it is lucid dreams I am having then all i can say is go with the flow of it.once you are in dream mode then you start to think about it and trying to stay in it.

Disregard this if it goes against what you are trying to achieve as it may be different to my experiences and I am only new here today!
