      I'm frustrated

last night I hardly had a dream that i could remember. I could only remember this one small one. I drank mint tea before i went to sleep becuse I read somewhere that it made this guy have really vivid dreams. I couldn't remember anything at all this morning. I'll probably never have a lucid dream.

Don't worry about it, there are some nights you just can't remember anything from your dream...they're hard things to remember.

kaniaz got it..there are just some days you wont remember much or anything at all. There are also other variables i suppose like sleeping position, what you eat before bed, how you wake up, where you sleep in etc.

      dont give up

Ya like all those guys said, just keep trying

my dream recall was through the floor, about 1 every week, and some times i went 2 weeks without remembering a single dream

I started my dream journal here at home and i started to remember more and more dreams. now i remember at least one every other night, and it keeps getting better.

So just keep going, you'll get better, and you'll be happy with the results once you get there.

Don't give up so easily, you'll never get anywhere. When I first started trying to improve my dream recall, I improved from about 2 or 3 a week to usually one a night, and I've since increased to 2 or 3 a night. Sometimes, though, I'll have nights where all I remember is one little thing from a dream, or maybe even nothing. Dream recall and lucid dreaming aren't something you can just do; you really have to work at them. However, the reward is worth the effort. Keep trying, you'll get it!
Well life is short, so love the one ya' got, 'cause you might get run over or you might get shot.

hehe listen to what they say... good advice. Although I would add, Don’t stress out too much about it. Sometimes we set ourselves up to fail. Just relax and let it flow. Sometimes you will remember and sometimes you wont, it happens to us all!!! Keep in mind that you want to remember your dreams and keep that journal handy. Some find it is easier to remember dreams if they wake up a number of times throughout the night (this method is outlined in the tutorial section). You will get there!!!

As to the mint tea thing, some things work for some people and not for others. You may also want to try taking melatonin or eating specific foods before you sleep. You will find what works best for you but really, I believe we all have the talent without relying on outside stimuli. No fears... keep trying and let us know how it goes!

Yeah, I find that waking up often helps TONS. Try setting your alarm clock to wake you up 3-5 hours after going to sleep. This ought to wake you up during a dream or very soon after one, so that you can remember it. Also, it sets you up so that you can attempt a WILD at the same time!

Thanks for all the good replies. I do remember my dreams better when I wake up, I used to think that I only had dreams when I woke up during the night but now I know that it was just my dream recall that sucked. But I sleep in a room with my brother so the alarm thing wouldn't work. I will keep trying though.
