      My Lucidity experience/question

I'm asking so I could get some feed back, because I know some of u veterans have definitely experienced this.

So throughout my lucid dreaming experience I feel as if I'm attaining a lower level of lucidity. When I do attain lucidity, I feel as if I'm not in full control, I feel as if my lucidity is just a flow of consciousness addressing my dream. If you know what I mean. Like I don't have full control of my dream character. I don't think I even see my dream character. It's like I think of something and the scene does it. Or something similar. Like I'm just watching my dream, but conscious. In no shape or form actually controlling it. And I've read and heard from my friends, how lucid dreaming you're suppose to feel as if you're in another dimension. Well I do try to stabilize my dreams when i attain lucidity. But it's like suddenly everything just goes black, and I can feel myself pressing my nose, and doing a reality check. Then my mind realizes that I'm dreaming. But everything is just still back. Could it be that I'm on my bed in the dream world and still have my eyes close? Should i try to open my eyes next time it happens?

A few more details would help a lot in figuring out what this problem is.

      DILDs or WILDs?
When you become lucid, there must be a scene around you first, right?
Do you have a dream body in the dream, or are they third person dreams?
When they go black, do you wake up right away? Or is everything just dark?

For starters, you should try to stabilize by looking down at your body. Touch your arms, reach down to your toes, things like that.

      DILDs
When i become lucid, I don't wake up, I feel as if it's almost 3rd person. Everything just goes black. I keep reminding myself that I'm lucid, and i guess a new dream forms but I still am aware that I'm lucid but my mind's just lucid watching myself in a dream. I've tried stabilizing it by rubbing my hands together but I'll also try your method.
