Hello there everyone! It's been a long long time since I've posted on this forum... I used to have an account here but it seems as though it's been deleted because I haven't accessed it for so long. Well, that's fine really.
Okay so, I recently had this amazing dream with a small lucid section and that got me interested in lucid dreaming again. I didn't even use any method.
I remember being in a beautiful sport car driving very fast with what must have been 6 or 7 cop cars chasing me. I was driving thinking 'I've got to get away from the cops!' when I was suddenly like 'Hey, what the hell is going on? I'm not a bad kid! I mean... Sure I get into some mischief, but nothing like this!' and suddenly I was lucid. I actually looked around at the interior of the car. It was beautiful leather. An amazingly detailed dashboard and it had an old style chrome speedometer. I looked in my rear view mirror at the cops and screamed "I HAVE TO STOP!" as I put my foot on the break. A brick wall appeared not more than 50 feet in front of me and in slow motion I turned the car completely sideways and said "It's a dream! I can't get hurt anyway!" the left side of the car slammed into the brick wall and it didn't even dent the car. I got out of the car, forgot about being lucid, and the dream went on to change...
Anyway, I just thought I'd give some information on what I'd experienced in the past... But yeah, here's what I've been having trouble with...
Getting into the vibrations is easy for me. Getting into sleep paralysis is easy too, but here's what I need help with... Sleep paralysis scares the shit out of me! When I being to enter it (sometimes in as little time as five minutes if I don't move a muscle) I suddenly feel hot, very uncomfortable, break into a cold sweat, start breathing fast as my heart rate increases dramatically and I have what could be referred to as a panic attack. It's very scary. Thoughts such as 'What if I wake up and cant move!?' run through my head when I experience that and then I just totally freak out.
Is it possible to avoid this!? My god it's irritating and uncomfortable! Any help would be appreciated! Also, if you could suggest any other possible techniques I'd be very grateful. I've only gotten into a lucid once with WBTB. Other than that, I've only ever gotten lucid in dreams without using a technique, and that has only happened around two or three times.
Thanks! I need responses fast! I want to try this tonight!
P.S. The reason I'm so interested in WILD is because I think it'll probably allow me to really "experience" the dream rather than just remembering it the next morning... I want to experience! Not just remember!
