      Question Getting to Sleep Paralysis?

So, I've recently started trying to WILD...and last night I think I got close. After a half hour I felt like there were little footsteps on my mattress, like maybe a cat was walking around. Then I felt really slight pressure from my feet up to my knees. Kind of like someone was sitting very gently on my legs. I was visualizing myself on a cloud, and I must have been doing well because I heard a few tweets like the birds I had imagined. Only once, though. I'm not sure if this was really sleep paralysis, but I did feel a few times like I was floating, or sinking, I couldn't tell. Once, I saw a very blurry and dull, but still bright light, where I was picturing the sun to be. It faded quickly once I saw it there. I was focusing intently on letting my thoughts flow and picturing my cloud in the sky, even though I'm not very good at visualization. I think I may have gotten further if I hadn't heard the radio in the background...Was I totally off or should I keep going with what I was doing?

You should definitely keep going with what you were doing. That floating-sinking-whatever sensation means that you were getting closer to SP. Just don't fall asleep (like I do, I've never succeeded in having a VILD before)

I've had some success with WILD. The point that i got to where I knew it was going to work, was when I would suddenly hear a very loud, sharp noise. Usually my brain would associate that with someone knocking on my door and I'd snap out of it, but over time I trained myself to stay calm and get past that abrupt noise.

Sounds like you're making good progress though, keep it up. Also you might want to check my blog out, I wrote a pretty detailed article on WILD, and my techniques for making it work. The link is in my sig.
