How could I have missed this signs?

I've been trying to get LD for 2 days now (just begun) and I try to get them by doing the MILD technique and doing reality checks during the day (like pinching myself and looking at a text/clock and then after a few secs look if the text/time is still the same or looking for things out of the ordinary) I do this at least 6 times a day maybe more.
Anyway in my dreams last night I didn't looked at my hands so the MILD teqnieuqe failed me again (the previous night) but considering its only my second attempt its no big deal (yet) Anyway in my dream I was looking trough some DVD cases and some of the DVD cases would randomly switch as I looked away from them. (from some war movie to Pirates of the Caribbean if anyone's interested )
this didn't trigged LD neither did this later in my dream: I was opening some of my game cases and for example Medal of honor (ww 2 game) would not have a disc in it but 2 man came in Airborne outfits came out (!) same thing happened to other game cases either man or boxes (lol) would come out. this also didn't trigged LD

Hi there - you need to be patient and maybe do a bit more reality checks than 6 each day - it almost need to be a bad habit to do RC's before they kick in. In the beginning you need to do alot of them - maybe 2 per waking hour or so. Don't worry it WILL become habit and be less of a chore. Read up on some tutorials on "Reality checks" and "Dream signs". You will get LDs it is easy! (I need to tell you this to keep your motivation high : ))

Don't worry, most people take a little while to have their first LD. Even the most experienced lucid dreamers will miss signs that they were dreaming occasionally. Just try to pay more attention when odd things happen.

Keep in mind your logic center is asleep, no matter how crazy something is, it feels real.

I miss the obvious signs too. Many people do...
Just keep doing reality checks and keep a dream journal. In time, you won't miss the signs.

As Brianna said, it´s common that people miss obvious signs. I don´t know how many times I´ve discussed lucid dreaming with my dream characters, not realizing that I´m actually in a dream.

Keep up with the reality checks and the results will come
