ive heard of the writing RC for reality check on your hand method but whats the string method ive heard of

It's a method that one of the members of DV made up. You can find the thread here. It was moved to the research section of the forum because DV has a policy where, unless an induction technique has been shown empirically to actually work it is not allowed to be posted on the general forums. This is because people come out with all sorts of BS techniques and etc. and this way you can distinguish between ones that someone simply made up, and then the ones that have been accepted as working (ex: techniques published by 'famous' lucid dream researchers or lucid dreamers of historical importance, such as tibetan monks) or the ones that someone really thought worked, organized a study for, and then showed actually worked (as far as I'm aware this hasn't actually ever been done).
