Thread: Half Lucid

I was having this dream last night, I was driving down a wooded road in a sort of misty drizzle. Suddenly on the side of the road I see a patch of rare mushrooms growing in great profusion. I think to myself "Wow! I have to stop and get a sample of that!" (the naturalist in me is active even in my dreams apparently ) So I stop and get a box out of my car but then think "Wait, I shouldn't bother picking these, because I'm in a dream."

I accepted the fact that I was dreaming, but I didn't become lucid. This has been happening a lot (almost every night) what gives? Any advice anyone?

(P.S: Interesting note, the mushrooms in the dream were Amanita Muscaria. They've been showing up in my dreams a lot ever since I've started practicing lucid dreaming and other forms of trance induction. Later I found out that these mushrooms were used to induce visionary states in certain tribes in siberia, especially around the provinces where my family was from. I didn't know this before they started showing up; perhaps some sort of cultural memory? Paging doctor Jung....... )
