Give them a try, it cannot hurt. I've never tried them for a couple of reasons:

      1) Too expensive
      2) I cannot sleep with anything on my face
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

I tried them 8 years ago after a friend told me about lucid dreaming. He let me borrow them for a month to try them out. He also gave me a copy of EWLD. I became lucid in only 5 days! The first few days I would wake up and the goggles had slid down my face during the night, and thus didn't work. But I think the new ones have been redesigned so you don't have that problem anymore. On the 5th night, while in a dream, the night sky started flashing a brilliant red color, like a police car was flashing it's red lights. I instantly remembered the goggles and became lucid.

I think they are worth it if you are having trouble and can afford the high price, but you can also definitely learn to LD on your own without them. I believe they are good for getting you started so that you can get used to feeling what it's like to be in a lucid dream.

I would think some people would have a problem with the light triggering them to wake up. Not everyone, but for some people (i'm pretty sensitive to any light.. and sleeping at night and during the day are 2 VERY different things for me. Just the methods I sleep are different. For one, i sleep very lightly during the day, and usually keep conscious of the world around me while still sleeping, which lies in contrast to what the goal of most people on this site is, which is to stay conscious while sleeping with your attention on the astral plane.. sleeping in the day i keep aware of whats around me, because i still need to listen to speakers, answer questions, and do this all split second..

I am not lying when i say I've never fallen uncounsious on a bus or class, however i've slept in them many times. For some odd reason I crave >12 hours of sleep, i'll sleep 3 in the day and 10 at night many times.

Night is different in that I don't care about my surroundings.. so i dream traditionally, not distorted reality like i've explained in another thread.

Wow.. i went really Off-topic, now that I look at what was the topic, but sorry, this was on my mind when i saw it, i could never use the novadreamer in the day, but at night? maybe.
