      tell me what happened

like 2 hours ago i almost had full control over my dream this is how it started. i was sleeping but not in rem sleep i knew i was sleeping but all i could see was black, i told my self lets go to the ocean my brain tried to imagine it but all i could see was a pixelated blue image. then after that i entered a dreaming state and i was floating around in this room i saw a computer and my mind entered the computer then i told my myself to enter the cpu, i said it a couple of times but my mind wouldnt listen to me it just kept on floating around the dream ended shortly after that. the point of the story is when im conscious of my dream, my dream wont let me control alot of things but there has been occasion where were i said to do something and my dream listened but this is very rare. there was another incident where i said take a left and my body in the dream took a right, its very annoying.

      p.s

      i can remember 4-6 dreams a night

How do you know you wasn't in REM sleep? From what I gather there is no way to be certain.

You had a Lucid Dream and don't worry about the lack fo control this is very common. You just need to do things such as rubbing your hands or spinning on the spot to regain control.

      (bet someone says he APed)

You don't have to be practicing lucid dreaming in order to have one. Lucid dreams can happen naturally or by accident.
By the sounds of it you had a WILD by accident.

Check out the tutorial area on WILD techniques, You might find them interesting

First you need to be aware of your real body while awake.

Try to not think of yourself in the third person WHILE awake...

Pay attention to your nose, to your arms, to your body in your first person perspective...

Soon you be used to it, in your dreams you will begin to dream in the first person so you will could control yourself like if you were awake...

      Be aware of your surroundings.

Hmmm, you were watching your dream? That only happens to me when I'm waking up.
That's a bit odd, though, because you'd have to be in your dream anyway....

Could you focus away from where "you" are and control the you that is watching the dream? After all, I suppose you'd have to exist to be watching it, anyway. Sorry for being confusing.
