      The BIG PLAN: b6+melatonin+valerian=??

Here's my plan to try to get myself one niiice lucid, vivid, dream:

As soon as I get the money (im broke as hell rite now, and i need about $20 to buy all this), im gonna buy melatonin, valerian root, and b6. Im planning to take this much of each right before sleeping:
      300 mg of b6 (3 tablets of 100mg each)
450 mg of valerian root (1 capsule)
6 mg of melatonin (2 tablets of 3mg each)

and im hoping to get extremely nice dreamz off this.....Im just wondering if anybodys had bad effects using a drug combo like this, or if the dosages are too much. (I'm not planning on doing this more than once a week though.)
Lemme kno so I dont end up overdosing .

You should be fine. It's not really possible to overdose on any of those. You'd have to take more than 10x the dosage of any of the substances or use the cocktail daily for months before any ill effects would become apparent.

It is, however, possible to have nightmares, but they're just dreams.

Unless you have a problem sleeping sound there probably is no real reason for melotonin or valariain root.
Valarian root is extracted to make valium which is a sedative.

Melatonin is a hormone that your body produces when it converts serotonin into melatonin on a daily basis. When evening comes and natural light is diminished, your body will start to convert the brain chemical serotonin to melatonin. It is this process that makes you sleepy and alows you to sleep.

And the B-6 can help improve cognitive functioning.

SO... this whole process may help you get a good first five or so hours of sleep which would then set you up nicley to incubate Lucid dreaming.
I just thought I would throw those facts out there because I don't think anyone should be taking a supplement if their boby does not even need it.

Hmm maybe I'll just try the 300mg of b6 and the 6mg of melatonin, to start with.
On another note, can the body develop a tolerance to this new addition of b6 or melatonin, where you'd have to take more for the same effect??

I think your body could build up a tolerance to it, but I'm not sure. I've been using B6 and Melatonin for about a week now and have had some extremely vivid dreams and some kickass LDs. Just be carefully with the B6, I guess you can fry your brain and nasty stuff Oh and it makes your urine neon green, or that has been the case with me.

B6 does not improve brain function in laboratory tests. In fact, it has the opposite effect.

      As I previously posted here:
In a second experiment, a group of 30 patients were randomised to receive placebo, 20 mg or 1000 mg/day pyridoxine for 15 days with subjects given a variety of tests before and after treatment. At the high dose, an adverse effect was reported for word recognition, but not for word or visual memorisation. Performance in the visual retention test was worse in the high dose pyridoxine group after treatment.[/b]
Valerian and Melatonin may or may not help you with lucid dreaming. They both have sedating effects, but, as a rule of thumb, no drug induces sleep without altering it, so they must have some effect on sleep cycles as well.

Yes, I managed to buy b6 in 100mg pills!

      Here's what Im doin tonight:

I usually sleep at 10pm, but tonight im sleeping at midnight, due to extra studying. I'm planning on taking two cups of regular lemon tea at 10pm, so it's caffeine will help keep me up till midnight.
Then at midnight, I'm planning on taking 300mg of b6, and sleeping.

      HERE ARE MY TWO QUESTIONS:

1.) Should I take the b6 at a different time (before tea, after tea, right before sleep)??
2.) Can this regular lemon tea counteract the effects of the b6 in any way, and if so, should i take 400mg instead??
