Technique for getting back to sleep after WBTB

I had my first MILD success this morning. Naturally, I want to tell everyone about it, but this isn't the place. The point is, during my attempt my subconscious came up with an idea that I liked, so I thought I'd share.

I was struggling to get back to sleep, so I had the idea of trying Reverse Blinking

      http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=24607

What I would do is count "1, 2, 3, 4" and then do a Reverse Blink on 5.

I knew I was too awake to get back to sleep while affirming, "Next time I dream I'll realise it's a dream" and visualising me doing reality checks in a dream. So, I decided to replace the "1,2,3,4" count with an affirmation that lasted the same time - four seconds. That affirmation was simply, "realise I'm dreaming, remember it"; and at the end of each repeat of the affirmation I'd blink.

I don't know if that affirmation helped me to succeed, but it was preferable approach over visualising so much that I never got back to sleep again. And it was good to fill those four seconds with something constructive.

      So, to sum up:

      1) Reverse Blink to help you get back to sleep.

      2) Replace the numbers in a count up to a Reverse Blink with an affirmation.

"Realise I'm dreaming, remember it" *RBLINK*
"Realise I'm dreaming, remember it" *RBLINK*
"Realise I'm dreaming, remember it" *RBLINK*
      etc
