      Variation of CAT technique?

Okay, I've been brainstorming for new ways to induce LDs. So, I have no idea if it will work. But I like to get ideas I have "out there" because who knows - maybe it will work, or someone will think of a way to make it work, or someone will just be inspired to think of a new technique. Or someone will prove it doesn't work, in which case my mind is cleared of the issue and I can move on to the next idea.

      CAT:

So, as you probably know, with CAT, you wake yourself up 90 mins early every day for a week and then alternate between pre-CAT wake up time and 90 mins early.

      Technique:

What if...you deliberately tried to interrupt every REM sleep period? (or, perhaps, one a night - don't want to end up a sleep deprived zombie) Maybe interrupt the REM at the same time each night. The idea is, your body/mind comes to expect to be woken during REM. However, what you would do is suddenly STOP interrupting REM one night, and perhaps, maybe, you'd become lucid.

(Incidentally, I've been on DV a couple of weeks now, and I don't think I've seen one thread/post where someone has said they used CAT.)
