      Changing dream signs

      Hi all

I've noticed that for the last few months that my lucidity has been on the decline. This has been a source of great concern and sadness for me as you can imagine.

This morning, I awoke from my 15th consecutive night without a lucid dream

I've been pondering this and wringing my hands for some time now. "What could it be?"

This morning in the shower, it hit me! My dream signs have almost totally changed!

I most often become lucid by recognizing dreamsigns and I've been getting way to little sleep lately to WILD. Looking back over the last few weeks, I cannot find a single dreamsign!

Looks like it is back to first base for me: dream journal, identifying signs, daytime reality checks on those signs.

Just thought I would share this with you all, just in case you are in the same shape I am.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Try incubating your dreamsigns with affirmations at night.

MILD and WBTB are also very helpful in dry spells, but if you find yourself trying to hard just try autosuggestion, like just suggesting to your subconcious that you might have a lucid dream. I'm sure your lucidity will come soon.

I've been thinking about this too, as I'm in a dry spell myself. After averaging about 1 per week since November and having two in one week the first week of December, I haven't had an LD since then.

Does anyone have any thoughts as to why this happens?

When I had two LD's one day apart, I thought I was making progress because I had gained some experience. That's where my theory fell flat on it's face!

I use WBTB and MILD. I've always had a bit of trouble getting back to sleep and have been experimenting with the amount of time spent awake before returning to bed. Maybe that's it?

I know all of my many dream signs but my most reliable sign is one that I have never worked at...an old high school acquaintance, not a close friend at all, who appears in my dreams as a bystander. Without any effort on my part, I remember to do a reality check when I see him.

      Oh well....

      Not worried, just disappointed....
