It still brought me lucidity (not full and only for a short time), but still, weird.

I poked my finger through my hand after a false awakening in my room, not quite sure what brought me to do it.

But instead of it going straight through, the entire dream scene flickered and became unstable as my finger came in contact with my palm. At this point I realized I was dreaming. The dream stabilized as I brought my finger away. I tried it again, yet again everything came out of focus, everything flickered. I then pulled my finger away, the dream cleared, and I eventually managed to get through my window (with some trouble).

Any theories? I had a similar experience a few months ago. Yelling "Clarity, now!" the dream flickered and destabilized. Only once, though, I've had plenty of other "normal" lucid dreams.
