Exclamation no motivation to write in DJ/reality checks

recently i have felt a lack of motivation in keeping my dream journal up to date and doing reality checks. when i wake up from a dream i know i SHOULD record it but im just too tired. also i forget to do reality checks and when i do remember i don't feel like doing it... what im asking is could someone help me get motivated again to write in my DJ and do reality checks?i mean i want to keep doing but im just to lazy to do it

I typically scribble a little picture to represent the dream rather than write words. If the dream is too in depth for a picture I go for the tape recorder. I think I had a DJ for a week once and I gave up on it, its not my thing either.

Well, I see you are mostly a DILDer. That means that dream recall and RCs are crucial to your success. So, I think just write down key points of the plot and later during the day write the whole story.

Motivation? I dont know, maybe buy a unique notebook, write it with a unique pen and imagine how cool it will be for you to have like 3-4 notebooks full of dreams. For instance, every now and then I read my 4 years old DJs and it is fantastic to see how some dream characters have disappeared completely from my dreams, how as years go by and your everyday concerns change, the dream nature changes too.

As far as RCs are concerned, forgetting doing some is excused, but being bored to do is not. I know after a while it gets tedius, but it takes like 10 seconds or less. Keep in mind that it is critical that every time you do a RC you really check reality. Try to expect you are dreaming, dont do it mechanically like when you brush your teeth etc. Why? Because you will also do a RC in your dreams, (it will work) but you wont get lucid!

Motivation? I don't know, thats hard Probably, if every now and then you change your RCs. There must be a big list of RCs you can do somewhere at the forum. But be careful to choose those that are hard to get false negative. Personally I count my fingers and I try to penetrate my palm with the index finger of the other hand. Tonight I did this, it worked and I got lucid (awesome Xmas present huh? ). It was fascinating to see my left index finger collapsing my metacarpal bones.
