Was this my first ever lucid dream?

right ive never had a lucid dream before basically last night i had a dream me and my parents went shopping, as we were carrying the shopping home i told them to go home im going to the shop to get some sweets. It was like 1pm. So I leave the shop and I hear "BANG BANG BANG BANG" cars crashing into eachother, I look on the road and there's a long line of fire gathering over the cars, people are screaming, AAHHHH AHHHHH, I was scared, I was running to my home because those cars were about to explode, people screaming AHHHH AHH. My dad looking outside the door, shouting at me, RUN CHRIS RUN !! im running, then i think....hang on, I can get lucidity if i say this is a dream, I say "THIS IS A DREAM" Then something weird happened, I found myself in like a dark room and a weird tall ghost statue of my brother, i remembered to look at my hands but dont remember what i saw as i got scared and shouted "WAKE UP" "WAKE UP" then i woke up lol

Yup. That was a very breif LD. Now you need to master controling your fear. Any excitement will result in you waking up or losing lucidity, so calm and focus is paramount. If you start getting scared, remember it's your dream, and you can entirely change the scene. Are you familiar with the spin method, for scene change?
