Don't know if my Dream signs will work for a reality check

O.K. So I write down my dreams. Never had a problem remembering dreams and so I'm discovering that my dream signs tend to be things that I can't really do a reality check for. Clocks won't work because too often in my life clocks haven't worked right and I would just accept that. Beyond that, I'm not usually in a place where I can check a clock, or any other electrical device really. Usually I'm outside and I've found that my dream surroundings are just about always somewhere I've never been before but normal looking. I can't really keep checking to see if I'm somewhere I've never been before, or don't see how.
Then I'm usually at someone's house (in the dream I know it's their house) but it isn't what their house is in r/l. I don't know how I would perform a reality check on that effectively. I tend to dream that I'm back in school and I'm long outta there but I don't know how I'd do a reality check on that either. Sometimes ppl are working places (usually my mother) that they don't work r/l. Again, same prob. how to check in r/l to get myself into the habit? I had the "I can't scream" thing but I can't exactly walk around trying to scream all the time and besides that only happened once or twice so if I did that check in a dream I'm not sure it would be helpful. Still, I suppose if I do any check at all in the dream, that's a step in the right direction, but will it do any good if it's not something that will register it as a dream?
Sometimes the number of ppl change or they change into different ppl but I don't know how to get myself to notice it considering that I will accept it and I don't know what checks to perform during the day. So, I need help trying to figure out what sort of checks I should do during the day to form the habit or maybe there's another technique I could use.
      Thanx,

Just the fact that you are recognizing all your dreamsigns is a step in the right direction.. Just keep writing all your dreams down and catergorizing your dream signs. Eventually you'll have a pretty good idea about what you dream about the most and will be able to recognize in the dream that it is in fact a dream. Its hard to combat with your subconcious, it really doesn't want you to become lucid in a dream for some reason. It took me a full year to have a regular lucid dream where I could recognize that it was a dream during a dream, WILDS come much more naturally to me. How long have you been trying, cause if it has only been a few weeks, dont get discouraged... Depending on how old you are, your brain has been trained to believe dreams are normal and should not be tampered with, you have just begun to tamper with this belief and it takes time to untrain your brain to accept the world of lucidity, but keep with it... Make your dreams important, but emphasis on them throughout your day, tell people about them, discuss them, research it all the time on the net.. The more you involve yourself with your dreams, the faster you will be able to become lucid.
      "You will cease to exist!!"

*GASP* "But existing is all I practically do!!!"

working on it but seeking help too

I haven't been trying for very long and I'm not discouraged I'm just trying to figure out how to do this. Right now all I'm doing is writing down dreams and I've always been able to remember them real well. I'm just looking for the best way to become lucid or work on becoming lucid. Any technique pointers are welcome.
And oh yeah, where is the stuff on WILDS and MILDS. I don't have any clue what anyone is talking about and can only find topics where ppl already understand them.

dreamsigns can be kinda like a mental reality check

if you know your dreamsigns you can say to your self that once you see these things you are dreaming

if you see these things in real life think im dreaming then prove to yourself that you are not

that way when you are dreaming you will do the same thing but you will end up proving that you are dreaming

Yeah, I've had the same problem..... My dream sign tends to be somethings odd like messed up Claw Machines (like you see in a arcade)..

But, if you take time to try and notice things a bit, you'll most likely do that in a dream, and realize that you are dreaming.....
