are obe's real??? watch this! When you disturb your brain in a certain way, your feeling of ‘self’ can get detached from your brain. Suddenly, it will feel as if ‘you’ are not inside your body anymore. You experience what is known as an ‘out of body experience’, or a ‘near death experience’. But you don’t have to be nearly dead to feel it. The sensation can easily be created in a laboratory, by placing a helmet with rotating magnetic fields on your head. The magnetic field acts like a ‘jam signal’ on your brain. Suddenly, you'll feel like you're floating outside your body. But you aren’t. It’s just your brain going confused. And you don't really need a helmet to do the trick. Visiting a place where the movement of the Earth's crust generates magnetic fields can give you the experience. Being in a situation where your brain doesn't get enough oxygen sometimes does it. Certain brain operations bring out the experience. Meditation and intensive prayer can generate it. In fact, exactly this is why some people see ghosts, or Maria, or feel like they are visited by aliens. It is an incredible weird experience to be ‘outside of your brain’. Your brain will try to make sense of it. Immediately, the rational part of your brain will come up with an ‘explanation’ for the experience. You will sense a ‘presence’ near you. If you’re religious, you might see Maria, or Jesus. If you believe in UFOs, your brain might tell you you’re visited by aliens. If you believe in ghosts, you’ll feel the presence of a ghost of a dead person. Hrm... I like where you're coming from. This can be a very logical explanation to the whole "obe" thing, yet it does not discourage those still trying or have already experienced an obe. *thinks* But how does that explain how some can leave an open book that they've never read and be able to recall what it said after an obe?

How scientific A more rational explanation: There are a few things science can explain, which when put together, form a rational understanding of who, or rather, what we actually are, and why we're here, and what these "paranormal" experiences are. First of all, it's important to understand that our brains run on a frequency. The subconscious picks up this frequency unfiltered. This is the entire visible Universe running on this frequency. That means anything that has ever been thought of has been contained in this "Universal Mind", which is accessible by anyone. It's just that when our conscious brain gets in the way, it takes on an individual level of existence. It is in fact the less advanced brain. The second part to understand is that our world is not in fact solid. It's a holographic projection of our minds. Atoms are empty space, and the electrons are electrical fluctuations. The only reason we experience the Universe to be solid is because we accept it as reality. Now the final, and most important part to understand is that the nature of the Universal Mind is that it can create anything it wants from these electrical fluctuations. The human body operates on electricity - which is the form taken by our consciousness when it enters our body at conception. Our bodies are just a physical projection of what we think we should look like, or rather, how we were designed. But when a generation of "people" is made to think that this is the only reality, and if they truly believe it for themselves, then the joke is on them (us) and we let ourselves be trapped by this illusion. We assume that what we can detect with our basic senses is the only reality, and that everything is in fact outside of ourselves, and as a result of that, it is the projection our Mind creates. So in essence, when you travel "out of body" you in fact don't go anywhere. Everything is inside You, which is in fact Us. One consciousness. You simply dissociate from the individual experience in certain states of altered consciousness, and merge with the ether, cosmic soup, zero-point field, whatever you want to call it. It's still coming from inside you, you just learn how to "decode" the signal and merge with your surroundings.

I was astounded at how many questions vanished when I learned of such a simple explanation And to think it can basically be described to a 2 year old... I suppose it still doesn't sound very believable to those hooked on Darwinian theory or the Bible, but it's the closest to fact we've come as of yet. How do we *KNOW* for sure that we weren't manifested by an older, more advanced species in another reality, which is now using the energy we are creating as a power source? It sounds just as plausible to me as Jesus dying on a cross, and with this scientific point of view which fits right in with how we are actually coming into consciousness about the metaphysical universe, it makes it that much more plausible. Present a part of the Universal Mind with a hologram, tell them it's real, then divide and rule with religious/political/social differences. Subsequent generations are brought up into the same reality, without much change. It just seems that this point of view I'm talking about is the only one not discussed mainstream. Funny coincidence right? The illusion of individuality and therefore ego, presents the problems we experience, when in fact the division is the illusion in the first place. That's the game they're playing, and we're the pawns It's all about mind over matter. Mind creates matter, not the other way around.
