      OBE this morning

      Aug 12th-13th...

I'm writing this down because I'm at my sister's apartment, and my calendar for marking down OBEs is about 150 miles away.

I didn't do much this OBE. My sleep pattern for the night was:

      11pm-2am - Sleep
      2am-5am - Awake
      5am-10:30am - Sleep
      10:30am-11:20am - Awake
      11:20am-2:00pm - Sleep

Right at the end of the last sleep section I had my OBE. I laid back down at 11:20am thinking that I hadn't gotten enough sleep, and perhaps I would just zone in and out, or have an OBE. So I did, so that was good.

The OBE was weird, as usual. I had an insanely hard time moving around, and that's pretty much what I did the entire time - tried to move away from my body. I had gotten my hands and arms out, and was working on my legs at one point. Never got my chest out though, or my head, so I didn't go anywhere.

I remember looking at my hands, but I couldn't tell if I was looking at them through my normal eyes, or my OBE-eyes. I could see faint distortions of the background behind it. At one point, I was trying to rip my hand away from my physical hand, and I could see this wave of energy connecting the two. Like stretching sheets of rubber.

I kept trying to see the relationship between my OBE-hands and my physical hands, pretty much the entire time. My sister was going in and out of the room at the time, and I could see her move around. I tried to get her attention, to see if she could see my OBE-hands, but she was busy and I couldn't really do anything to get her to look.

It lasted maybe... 7-10 minutes overall. Perhaps I'll have another one tomorrow.

sounds like an unhealthy sleap pattern to me, but whatever works for you, works. I've never had an experience like that before...

Maybe your body is adapting to you constantly leaving your body by holding your body in harder because maybe it doesn't want you astrial form to leave. Perhaps that is a form of protection.

In a real OOBE it is really like that. You don't just simply roll out. There is this very very strong force that seems to pull you back in. Some times you get your arms out, head, etc, then you get pulled back in, then go back out. Eventually you just sort of pop out. After that there is no force pulling you back in, but you can return to your body instantly at will. Once you get out, it is the strangest feeling. You are completely without a body. Not only don't you feel gravity, but you feel no matter. It is really quite unique and much different than being weightless in a lucid dream. A few weeks ago I came close to doing it again, but when I thought I was about to come out, I gave up then went back and woke up.
Still trying to decide on a sig.

How is this: If you can't beat them join Lost soul.

Don't worry, I seriously doubt anyone would be disrepectful. Anyway OBE stands for Out of Body Experience, which is a very shady subject for most. As for WBTB, I have no idea. I'm fairly sure I've never seen the term used at this site. Maybe you're thinking of WILD which stands for Wake Induced Lucid Dream.

WBTB is Wake - Back to Bed. It's the method with which I've had the most success.
