Hah... Appearently my mom and sister share a recurring dream

My sister came over today because she had a day off. Well, I asked her if she had lucid dreams. Much to my suprise she told me she has them all the time. We were talking about dreams and she told me about this one recurring one she said she keeps getting that annoys her. Well, she started saying details then my mom said something in suprise. She then too started saying details of it. They both were one after another explaining the dream. I mean what the eff? lol... Sure I believe things like that are possible but what are the odds it is in my family. Anyways, she said lately she has been having it a lot. That makes this even more strange. Then more more thing to add to it was that the other day she said I was in it. Well, she also told me no one has ever been in it. In the dream I was helping her. Then a couple days after she had that dream I get her to come over for whatever crazy reason then start talking about dreams and bring this up. Now she and my mom want to go to the house in the dream. Everything they desribed about it I took into account and searched through my dreams trying to see if I had it. I am not sure but I think I did... It was just a long time ago.

One more thing they told me about the dream is that they both have had it recurring since they were little kids. Well, that there says something at least. And now they both find out they BOTH have had it. It is the SAME exact dream. I think I had it too, but I am not sure. I probably did not.

Anyways here is part of the dream. They both had a question of what it means so I will post it here. In part of it they are in a bedroom. They look at a small door that goes to a crawlspace. My mom said she could not get in. My sister said as soon as she gets in everything is dark. I am guessing then she wakes. The other day I was appearently helping her get in or something. My mom also told me when she was younger she found a teddy bear outside somewhere near where she lived. She said when she was younger she thought she rescued it and liked it very much. One day she lost it and never saw it again. She said she thought it was in that room. Also, keep in mind my sister never has been to this house. Except for some paranormal reason or if it is possible to pass memories through dna it is nearly impossible.

Anyways, tell me what you guys think.

There have been posts here before about dream sharing....
I really think there is something here. It sounds like your mother and sister have a close bond of some kind between them.

It would really be cool if they could devise some kind of experminent to see if they could exchange information and bring it back.
Could be something as easy as telling each other a number to remember....

A friend and I have been trying to do this for almost a month now without any luck.

But maybe your family could do it.
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Crucible, thanks for sharing. you must have flipped out that day when all this happened! One theory is that your mom and sister knew each other in a past life and shared experiences together in that house. I believe that powerful, recurring dreams of places may represent places we visited in other lives. The little trap door is interesting. It reminds me of the movie about being in John Malkovich's head. Typically small doors are gateways to other realities.

      Lots to think about!

My mum and sister shared a dream (kind of) once. Well, my sister was young at the time so she cant really remember what she was dreaming but my mum was having a dream that my sister was climbing into a car with a stranger in it. My mum tried to stop her getting in and slapped her leg to stop her, and at the exact second that she did that my sister cried out in her sleep and woke up crying. There have been other times where they have been talking about their dreams and they have been mostly the same- same place, same thing happening, with only a few differences.

Another time, more recently, was something that happened when my sister moved into a flat. For a few months strange things kept happening- lights turned themselves on and off, there was constant tapping on the wall (one that was in the flat, not joining onto another building) and the door even locked itself. One night, she fell asleep and had a dream that she was walking into her kitchen. She said it was really clear, as if it was real. As she walked in she saw an old man standing there. She said "Who are you??" and then suddenly she woke up and her flatmate told her that she had been jumping around and twitching. What makes things even more weird is that from then on, there haven't been any strange things happening at all in the house- they just stopped straight away. Has anyone else had any experiences like this?

Well, I am really opened minded so I did not really flip out. I see almost everything as being possible. Just because I did not see it does not mean it does not exist.

I mean if aliens suddenly came down to me and said they needed to use my brain for a few days I would just reply with something like "umm okay".
