Your Dreams are Truly Yours!
You might want to try meditating on a mantra. "Aum" is a commonly used one, and the Hindus think it has religious significance. Sit in a chair, straight up in a comfortable position. Close your eyes and just sit there with closed eyes for about a minute. Try to relax. Then, start saying "Aum" in your head over and over. Don't hum it. Just say it. Don't strain to think it or to concentrate on it. Just keep gently repeating it silently. Your mind will wander, but that's okay. Just very gently, almost completely effortlessly, go back to the mantra. Glance at your watch or clock from time to time. After 20 minutes, open your eyes and just sit there and chill for a few minutes. It is recommended that people do that twice a day, at least six hours and no more than 12 hours apart. |
