Heh, had a OOBE last night

This is the first OOBE I've had. I woke up, did a Reality Check, and it failed, and a weird feeling comes all over my body, and it feels like my astral body and dream body get stuck together like magnets. Then I felt hard vibrations throughout my body, and it felt like my astral body disconnect from my real body. I floated slowly to the ceiling, and it was all dark. I thought to myself "whoa, this is kinda cool. this is all normal, dont get scared, you can turn this into a fucking awsome experience". I noticed much detail in the ceiling. I kept trying to make myself go through the ceiling, then I decided I couldnt, and I floated back down. I somehow ended up in the kitchen and I walked to the living room to go out the door. I see my Dad sleeping on the couch, and I didnt feel scared or anything, so then I walk out the door. I stood on the porch, and I remember wanting to try bubble gum in a dream. I reached in my pocket, and tried to pull out a peice of bubble gum, but it was just a little blue stick. So I said it's not important, so then I rubbed my hands together. It felt very rugged, and I decided my dream was very stable, so then I stepped onto the ground, andI looked at the sky, and the sky was BEAUTIFUL. Then I heard birds chirp, and the trees all had mist eradiating from them. I then lay on the ground to feel the grass, and look at it. It was cold, so I said "make it warmer" and I saw the sun move across the sky, then I was warmer. I then thought "I wanna go to a city" then I sort of transport to a very rural area, with log cabins. I wanted to go in a bar, so I can see what dream liqour tastes like. I then decide I dont wanna be here, so I walk around a cabin, and think "around this corner, there is gonna be a short road that will take me to a city", and it ended up being a rail road =/. I see a HUD on the bottom right, like a map, and this place was my rendered dream scene. The dream was telling me "You cannot leave from this area". Then I think about going into one of the cabins, but then decide to "spin". While spinning, I think to myself "When I'm done spinning, I will be in a city, when I'm done spinning, I will still be in a dream" then I stop, and I'm sort of in a overhead video game type enviroment, and with this I almost lose lucidity. It gives me 3 tunnels to go through, and I go through one that has "Tournament" written on it. Then finally I'm in a bar, in this log cabin, and I regain my lucidity and vividness. I go through this door, and three guys are being mean to this old guy. I make them leave the room. I sat down next to the old guy, and he is very friendly. I take a sip of some alchohol sitting in a "moonshine bottle" with three red X's on it, it tasted like Vinegar. Then I walk out, and I say to the old guy "wanna see something cool?" and he says "sure, bud, what is it?" I had a vanilla wafer in my hand, and I was gonna catch it on fire with my mind to show off. Then I decided this guy was nice to me, and there's no point in doing it, so I say "nevermind, cya buddy!" Then I wanna see what dream food tastes like so I look for a resturant "possibly with a free buffet". Then I'm looking at a tree with a hole in it, and a HUGE dog tied to a leash, then I felt the dream fading. I decided not to recover the dream, because I felt satisfied. Then it ended, I woke up, and I typed my dream on another forum I go to.

very cool story. i just had an obe but was too scared to leave my body. i think u were lucid dreaming and not obeing cus u were able to change the environment and enter a diff world. can u do this in an obe?

Just a short question: Last night I had some dream where I possibly had an OoBE... (did I?) All I can remember is: I was looking at the back of my own head (no mirrors involved) and thought: "So, the hair in the back of my head isn't that long after all!" That's it, can't remember more.

awesome experience cain. quite amazing. i wish i could do that. im not sure if ive had OBEs before, but i do recall floating in my room. it felt really charged and electric. i couldnt move but i was able to move with my mind sort of. i even reemember thinking it was an OBE at the time! who knows. maybe u went from an OBE to an LD. i hear it happens.

hi, i've never had an OBE before, sounds cool and all, but could it be, that if you left your body and went a bit farther away from it, that you could somehow not get back in? I've heard all these wierd things about if you leave your body that some evil spirit might go into it and you cant get back.....?!?! Oh, and what does WILD mean? thx

dream walker - I've had OBEs a few times over the years and have done some research into them as well. From what I've read, I don't think that you have to worry about an evil spirit taking over your body preventing you from re-entering. During an OBE, you supposedly have an invisible tether connecting you to your body. So, if anything ever made you uncomfortable, you'd be able to snap right back to it. Most of the time that I experienced it, I'd feel the vibrations before a whooshing feeling that lifts me up. Once or twice, I just woke up out of body floating in the room. That happened the first time I had an OBE. I "woke up" floating in one of the upper corners of my bedroom. It totally freaked me out, but it felt totally real. More so than being lucid in a dream. I felt as concious as I do now. I thought sometime like "I want to go back to my body" and immediately jerked away in bed. After that, I began researching it both online and in books. The key idea is to remain calm while it's going on. I had really only been freaked out one other time while doing it. It was several years ago while I was taking a nap during the day. I felt the usual vibrations and popped out. Then I saw three people standing at the foot of my bed just watching me. Got scared and a split second later, I jerked awake. I never got the impression that those people where hostile or had any negative intentions, but it still spooked me causing an immediate rejoining.

Hey, I have been researching OBE's for some time now. I have not had a successfull OBE, yet, the closet I got, was my foot out, then I thought to myself "Hey, I'm about to have an OBE" And I woke...Anyways, if that was an OBE, you wouldn't of been able to just pull some gum out of your pocket, and you wouldn't of been able to change the scene and such. You wouldn't of been able to walk through the door. And I don't think you would of seen your dad during an OBE, because your on a lower planes, Astral Planes, the same place, just different....I can't explain...yea...
