Can people draw energy from music?

Ok so I know it's a weird question. Music isn't technically alive. I've always loved music, but have been getting more into it lately (when I started working with rock and alternative bands). But I mean...when a band plays a song, especially if it's a song that they really love, don't they put energy and emotion into that song? I dunno, it probably makes no sense

Lately, when I hear a certain song, even if it isn't one of my favorite songs out there, I feel energy going up and down my body. Sometimes it feels as if my body just kind of disappears and all that's left is this weird..shivery...pulsing blob of energy. Lots of times I get goosebumps. It only lasts for a few seconds.

This started happening a few years ago, but never to such an extent and it was pretty rare to me. It started getting more common a couple of months ago. Sometimes I can make it happen at will, but it never feels as great as how it does if it just happens on its own.

Another thing that I've noticed is that I can listen to a song and nothing like that would happen until the second or third or even fourth time that I've heard it. Also, if I listen to that song too many times, the feeling stops being this intense and eventually goes away completely.

The thing is, I know what I feel, and I feel energy. What I can't figure out is if it's going into me, or out of me, or just moving around. It would probably make more sense to say that I don't draw the energy from the music itself, but maybe it acts as a trigger for me to draw it from somewhere else? I can't figure this out >.<

If anyone has any ideas or explanations or thoughts, or anything for that matter, please post them.
