Maybe I am going to try to visit you in your dreams, these nights so sleep well my little angel. ;)

I just read more of this thread to keep up to date. I quite like the idea of going to Hogwarts because everyone in the whole wide world knows (or should know) that place. Plus my current dream guide is at an advanced level, so who knows what she may help me (or us) discover in Hogwarts... Maybe there's a secret room that was never shown on Harry Potter. And I don't need to ride a Quiddich stick, she serves for just that purpose. I asked for the palace on a couple of nights... Nothing, even though I did look at images of it.
heehee I thought the same thing but I didn't want to say anything :chuckle: I just gave him the benefit of the doubt as I don't think English is his first language. Well, I guess you said you live in Asia, if English isn't your first language I have to compliment you that your grasp of it is simply incredible.
Anyway it sounds like we are having a harder time than last time coming to a consensus about our next place. I vote that we take all of the past few ideas and try to visit them at some point. After all, we can do this as long as we want. (at least I am okay with this experiment lasting several months or so) :)
Edit - as an afterthought this is Dawneye11's experiment so if we don't decide fast enough I think she should just pick for us
Just a quick suggestion:
Instead of changing your meeting location, it might be a better idea to pick one and stick with it. This is because the choice of your location should not only be a cool place, but it ought to become a solid metaphor for your mutual dreamscape. It is probably better that, over time, remembering your meet location becomes second nature, rather than part of the work. This way you can spend your lucid time at a familiar, meaningful location projecting your presence and searching for others', rather than spending your time trying to get to a new place every night. In other words, stick to one place, and reaching it will eventually become a given in your attempts to SD, rather than a difficult or time-consuming preliminary hurdle.
Also, and on the same note, the simpler the better might work best here. Meeting at the front entrance of Gyeongbokgung Palace, your original choice, seemed an excellent idea, because its iconic design makes it very easy to fashion during a dream. Meeting at a fictional place like Hogwarts, on the other hand, could lead to complications, because a place like Hogwarts might carry other meaning or symbols that might distract dreamers (not to mention that if the SD theory grounding this experiment is correct, Hogwarts might be just a bit to crowded for you to find each other! ;))
[EDIT: I forgot to mention that maintaining the same meeting place throughout your efforts might help form a sort of bond between you. In other words, the meeting place, if consistent, will eventually become meaningful in a way that is unique only to your small group of SD explorers, and that kind of shared experience -- that bond -- can only help in your efforts to find each other.]
Finally, notice I said things like "over time," and "eventually." What you guys are trying ranges from the very difficult to the impossible (else lots of people would be consciously doing it nightly), so I highly recommend that you keep up your attempts for as many nights as you can; it might take a hundred attempts to find each other in the vast ocean of dreamers you'll need to be navigating, so this might be one experiment where patience is the priority.
Good idea!Quote:

Good luck, guys!
Lol Yeah, shifter did sound suspicious there. XD we might have to keep an eye on you for a while.
I know everyone is excited for Hogwarts but reading what Sageous wrote, I think hes right. There are many levels to Hogwarts and it being a castle with many rooms, details and magical people, it could be distracting. Also, even though we might fail at getting to the palace, its true that we are in a way, still familiarizing ourselves with it. In my recent dream I was able to make it too~ It was short and not the entrance but I found that if I focus more on it without getting distracted by other thoughts till i fall asleep, i'am able to dream of it. Just like how shifter mentioned visual meditation but I didn't exactly wild.
Thanks for the helpful advice Sageous~ We'll do our best to be patient.
Also, thanks shifter for putting me in the right direction by mentioning visual meditation.
So I suppose if you guys still want we can go for the palace or if you really want to change a simpler place?
Pfft! Only in your non shared dreams xDlol
Wow Sageous, thank you for the detailed and thoughtful reply! :)
That is a really good point I didn't think of that, but it makes so much sense. That would be incredible to consider ... what if dreams are shared without even having connection between the dreamers? If that is the case I suppose the symbol thing would come in handy.
DawnEye11, I noticed you revealed your symbol, and I assume you have moved on to a new one. Should we all do that occasionally? I figure if we change symbols every few weeks and reveal them then maybe we can trigger memories for someone's dream or find something in someone else's dream journal. I haven't found my symbol in anyone else's dream journal yet, but I am wondering: should we reveal our first symbols and make new ones?
I think revealing them could trigger a memory but than again if the person actually had the symbol in the dream, the person who had the symbol would tell them. I dont think we should reveal them yet because although we do focus on them a certain amount, has anyone tried to make their symbols appear within the lucid dream yet? Probably best to stick with one and wait to see if it manifests. If not than maybe symbols don't really work. :hrm: Ill just choose another one.
I am sorry that I can't participate in your shared dream experiment, but I am wishing you all best of luck to succeed.(I will keep my fingers crossed)
I have another experiment to attend, in which I am betting my existence on the line. My sub(other me) approach me recently and said that when I am ready, to find him and we will become "one". So wish me luck, it's time to face my destiny.
p.s. i can have some wet dreams in nights between the experiment xD
Thanks! : ) Good luck on your experiment too. You might have wanted to keep the wet dreams part to yourself though. > . >"
I know that could happen but there are so many different details in dreams that you would kind of have to guess. If your symbol is a big part of the dream, like it makes up the main theme or catalyst, I suppose that could give it away. I wonder if there is more weakness to this than being helpful than.^^"
I know. : ) Its okay.
Lol I doubt we'll be effected but ok.
After looking at the pics Jewl told me to look up, I think this is another progress so might as well post it on the thread.
For one I wasn't aware that the mountain was mostly gray and second the patches of grass stick out just like in my dream. Deep down i wonder if i saw a pic of this mountain as i was scrolling palace pics and forgot but if i had any knowlege the mountain was like that it would be in the deepest regions of mind.Which is still pretty amazing for it to be brought up.

Also, this pic of the city is close to how it looked in my dream. The sky was lighter but the white color of the buildings really stuck out.

Hey I have been to all three of those places too! Well I can't be sure about the bottom one but if it is taken from a peak of the mountain I am thinking of I have been there. That is pretty amazing that you and lucidbunnie both had accurate representations of things that you didn't know about beforehand. :)
Seeing as we are getting familiar with the palace and with Sageous's advice I think it might be better to stick to it for a while after all. I thought of changing up the location a bit to keep it more fun, but that would make it less constructive. As for symbol, I have not shared it yet. The only hint I'll give is it's something that can be seen. It's a literal symbol that's distinctive. I'll be imprinting it in places I visit in our location. ^^
Alright, I really wanna try the coordinated time thing. :)
How about we all meet up at the entrance on Sunday, May 6th, 09:00 UTC? I figure morning time for the western hemisphere and afternoon nap time for the eastern hemisphere would be the easiest for us all to lucid dream simultaneously. Your +# or -# on a time zone map will show you how to reach that meeting time by your own clock. What do you guys think?
