      Psychic phenomena confirmed!

Okay, so last night I was dreaming and didn't know it.

      Hold on. It gets better.

I moved to a new state and separately befriended a ragtag bunch of individuals interested in serious psychic research. We were kind of crashing out at one of their places, and I was lying down, closing my eyes for a bit just to relax and vibrated through a WILD, immediately starting to dream a seriously high energy lucid dream.

I saw my friends in a fictional environment. I had a few conversations with them and experienced some other stuff, then I decided to exit the dream and wake up to confirm whether or not I had actually communicated with them.

They all woke up at the same time, looking as if they had been knocked out. I looked at them, "did you...?" and they looked at me and each other with the same expression. Yes, we confirmed it. We all shared a psychic experience!

      And then I woke up.

I never really moved to another state and never really befriended critical thinking amateur psychic investigators.

But dreams are real, you know. Just have to remind you of that. So I really did confirm the existence of psychic phenomena!

Uh.... I do that all the time in a LD. I have done that w/Lucid Tasks b4 they start...
      Cool!
Well, I cannot say I haven't had anything like that b4. Some people have done the same in the dreams. As well, I have played telephone (a speechless communication game!!) w/Michelle in real time....
And many times, I can see current events in specific types of LDing (as seen in my sig...[in that sig, I really like the part where they comment on the sash!!]), like the time where I saw a guy put his dead wife in a dumpster, & it happened at the same time in real time.
Yeah, dreams are real alright! Real Fun!!

      ......What?

I hope you're not serious. Dreams aren't real, and this doesn't prove anything.

Uh, that post sounds more like poetry than theory. In short, I think it's bunk and could argue with you all day to that end.

Except that I wouldn't argue with you.

      Is life a dream?

Err, yeah. No, life isn't a dream. Even if it were, though, our dreams at night are on a whole different level, a dream within a dream. Therefore, even if our lives are a dream, our dreams within it have no impact on it.

Seriously, are you serious with this topic?

Damn. Why aren't there more people like you?

I vote that there should be more people like Khaz.

Okay, votes are in. Yes, we have a 1-0 majority rule that says there should be more people like Khaz.

Wow! I make a few posts and I already have the thread creator trying to flatter me enough to make me not realize he didn't answer my question!

You're just not seeing the truth of my poetry.

      Watch me fly!

Look at me fly in my dreams! I'm really flying!

Alright, time to really argue it:

So you can fly in your dreams. Does that make the ability to fly real? Maybe. That all depends on your point of view, since it's a VERY philosophical argument.

Now psychic abilities, such as sharing a dream with some people, have a different requirement to be real. This is that they must actually involve another person. Now, in your dream in your dream, you talked to these people, and again when you woke up. You see, these people only exist in your head, so of COURSE you can communicate with them in your dream-in-a-dream, and have them remember in the dream. Don't think about it as a dream in a dream, think of it all as one dream where you just went through something dream-like. It's all contained in your head, and therefore anything you do involves no other people. So, anything that happens is by definition not psychic.

      There. Chew on that.

Do you see!? This is how we tell dreams from real life!

In real life, gravity exists whether you believe in it or not. In your dreams, you can only fly if you don't believe it exists. All I have to do is say GRAVITY!, and you fall. Isn't that funny...

Even should life = a dream, this does not in turn mean a dream = life.
This is the same flawed logic as 'grass is green. my shirt is green. thus my shirt is made of grass'. I'm suprised you offered it.

Ex Nine, I like how you make a topic and then make a topic making fun of that topic. That's classic.

There are no such things as real dreams. There's LD, Dream Sharing, SP, Prec, & ...?, but no real dreams in there...sorry!

So if I say I had a dream about a 6 meter long helicopter damsel fly last night - when I actually did not - then that dream is just as real as if I actually did?
