      Out of body experiences??

Has anybody here had one or several before? I have had dreams where I died and see myself lying on the ground. And I actually saw myself get out of my body. Someone told me that, that was an out of body experience. I have and they are very realistic!! It is exciting as well as scary! I have had 2 of them. Let me know if any of you have had them ..share what you felt.

{Had one} It was way past midnight i didnt get much sleep was trying to stay awake waiting for a phone call.Started reading a magazine and eating to pass time.Without noticed i drifted off, everything went black , voidlike- untill i realized i was in my own room ,as i turned i was shocked as i saw another "ME" lying on the bed asleep or unconcious with the magazine in hand . At first it was spine-chilling , i thought i was dead, that intense feeling of fear took over me because everything looked so real but there was also this warm feeling , radiating from somewhere . I just stood there staring , with disbelief . I dont remember what happened but i found myself in bed again. This happened 2 years ago. But its something i cant forget.

      My first one

Thanks for sharing your out of body experience. I will share mine with you. It was a couple of years ago. I had a dream that I was running down a very short hill and for some reason I tripped and started rolling down the hill. I remember stopping at the bottom, I wasn't hurt but I just laid there. All of a sudden I felt myself getting up, and when I did I saw myself laying there on the ground!

Throughout the rest of the dream I was dead, a ghost no one could hear me or see me. I saw other dead people walking around among the living. It was very scary yet at the same time, a free feeling. I do remember that one person eventually saw me and I was in disbelief that they could see me as well as talk to me.

For some reason I tend to have dreams where I can see and speak to people who are no longer living (relatives). I have also had dreams where I am killed or shot and feel the actual bullet, very strange.

I have many many more if you are interested. I love to talk about my dreams, they are very intriguing, crazy, and so real at times.

I have had a dream where I was in another body other than my own. I was attacked by a zombie in the dream, so I left the body and went to my real body. Hmm... I doubt that can count anyway.

I've started to read about OBEs and its said that at higher levels of OBEs you can see dead people, other people doing astral projections, and even your pet animals. They also said not to look at your physical body for too long because something can happen i forget. I've only been reading about the theory currently but I've tryed to do it a few times. Only once was I close (Didn't know techniques to successfully do it yet) and my body lifted like 3 feet up.

The book was talking about mind splitting theory about how when your in a OBE you're processing 3 different things (physical body, Etheric body, and astral body) an it talks about how sometimes you can be aware of both at the same time.

If you're not successful its advised that you atleast try and do a WILD, which was the first time ever I was close to doing it, its just I kept falling asleep right when it happened, like the image would flick on then off, then after a few seconds I'd realize I just seen images, then I'd just go throught the same process. (Then just have a vivid non lucid dream)

Also for the person who said they've been shot in there dream and felt it, samething has happen to me. Shot and stabbed, it actually does hurt.

It is also possible to acheive OBE trough dreaming, but you must have total control of your LD.Once you have, you must reach for maximum realism and awareness. You must concentrate on your surroundings in the real world, where you physically are without waking up, your dream should show your actual room. At that point you should see yourself liyng there. It is recommended to stay there for a couple of sessions just to get used to seeing yourself which can easily break the whole thing the first couple of times. You have to stay perfectly calm .
What you can do as an experiment is check for something you saw in the OBE when you return in the wake state. Not like the TV in the living room lol, i mean like someone else writing something, letters or numbers on a piece of paper somewhere you cant see (top of a dresser or on top of the fridge if you cant see the top of it), you must not see it in the wake state but viewable say in OBE flight and once you return you know what they are.
Not being able to see it makes it a challenge and a focus point when you fall asleep.
Everything looks much better from up there

You're right about that one but as you know it's pretty much "individual" (what works with me may not work for you.)
I'm just trying to show step by step way once you get there you know what you're looking for and then it gets easier more personnal

There was one that I had, that felt 100% real. One morning, my mind just suddenly became aware, and I was in Sleep-Paralysis. Vibrations were intense, and I was hearing a loud booming noise. So I remembered what to try (before this attempt, I must have backed out atleast 5 times when I got this far), so I decided, if I pull back now, I'll just be bummed again. So, I try to focus on myself rolling, and I feel myself splitting from my body, like as if I was attached by glue, and I feel myself float up and start spinning to the side, and then I see the edge of the edge about a foot or two below me (this was all blurry, anything outside of a 2 foot viewing distance was blurry), and I see the bed move off to the right with the floor coming into view (meaning I was moving out to the middle of the room), and then my vision went black, and I felt myself touch down on the carpet (Ia actually felt this, like physically what it would feel like, and this shocked me at first). I feel all static-like and fuzzy all around. There's not much after. When I did regain vision, either my room was supersized or I was really small. I could barely move, etc.

The rest I had after started becoming more fantasy-like, where I've seen what looked like other people, as well where my mind created things (like my little brother being present when he really wasn't). Things missing in my room, etc. I don't know, maybe it was me advanced to higher levels of OBE, or my brain simply recreating what it's like to have an OBE since the first full blown concious one I've had.

The first one though... I'll never forget it.

That's great, i love hearing those stories, makes me remember the feeling lolll the rolling over and all. You wake up with a BIG sense of acheivement when that happends, and all you want is do it again for weeks to come lolll
