Image Burn From Sp

Ok here goes. Ok, well after having a LD, I saw this big spider on my roommates bed. I got really scared for a second, but I knew it wasn't real so I just closed my eyes. I opened them again, there it was again, just sitting there. I started at it for maybe 10-15 seconds, saw it dart across the bed, and then I got myself out of SP. However, when I was physically awake, I blinked, and I saw a purple outline of the spider! Image burn! You know when you look at something for a long time, and than you can sort of see the object's outline (image burn)... How did this happen with a fake spider!! shocked And I was awake because I did a RC and couldn't breathe through my nose closed.

Thats actually kind of normal. Its called an AfterImage. Your still somewhat producing HI while your awake and conscious. I did that once after I woke up, I looked at my blanket, and there little army men running across it. I've learned to just ignore what I see now, and after I get up and move around, and give my mind something more to focus on image wise, the afterimage of the dream goes away pretty quickly.

[/b] I thought afterimage was caused by looking at something that was physical, and afterimage has something to do with your physical eyes. Maybe it was leftover HI, but it looked exactly as if I looked at the sun for a split a second, and than saw the purple circle every I looked, though not as powerful, and not as long lasting (I'd say it lasted about 10 seconds after being fully awake).

It's not image burn. It's just the same picture that you just saw, but a little different. Even in a LD if you look at something and look away or blink, it will change. It's just you were dreaming with your eyes open (happens to me often), because you were awaken out of your dream.
