      I can well imagine that the topic of Out of Body Experience or Astral projection has been thoroughly discussed, so rather than ask the obvious in the obvious manner I have opted for a poll (which I suppose is still quite obvious, whatever). I am very interested in the topic and will probably PM you if you say you can. It is funny how divided Lucid Dreamers and Astral Travellers can be... I think they are of the same ilk but don't know it or don't want to admit it. I look forward to talking with some of you.

      Thanks,

      Rob.

      Some of my WILDs are very Oob-like in the beginning of them.

      But I've come to the personal conclusions...

      OBE=Dream

      Dreamscape=Various Existance, inside and outside your subconscience (this includes your subconscience making a near perfect representation of your own room). All DCs are not real people here.

      Astral Plane=Area of Dreamscape where many can meet. DCs may or may not be real people.

      I agree! The channeled entity, "Seth" offers a strong explanation. He says that in the Astral (the non-physical) thought creates reality and that a "dream" is simply the sub-conscious mind in the state and process of creating our reality with its thoughts using this Astral mechanism.

      It has been said that we often walk in a reality where we naturally can't percieve the dimensions above us; I think that is how it is with dreaming and OBE.

      I've had an OOBe a couple times in my life. Most recently it happened because I was high on caffeine then around bedtime I realized I HAD to wake up early for a soccer game the next morning, so I decided to take some sleeping pills (Tylenol Simply Sleep). However since I was stilll high on caffeeine (pills), I decided to take an overdose to compensate for my extremely alert state (don't know what I was thinking here). Turned out to be one of the worst things I could have done or not depending on how you look at it. I had a very difficult time falling asleep, but it was weird because my body was ready to crash but my mind was NOT playing along. it was one of the worst/weirdest feeling I've ever had.

      So anyway, this continued to torture me for about an hour or so, then finally I managed to fall asleep somewhat. I remember the SP comng on I recall my "body" feeling really light I also remember not being able to do anything about it. Immediately following that I find myself floating out of my body, through my CLOSED bedroom window and about 15ft. above the road in front of my house. I end up looking at my body lying in my bed sleeping through my bedroom window from outside. Its difficult to describe it could have been a dream, but it felt nothing like one. The feeling is obviously somewhat impossible to describe. I'll go ahead and say I felt way more conscious and alive than in any dream I've had.

      Most recently since deciding to hone my lucid dream skills, I've been able to start the WILD process almost every night that I intend to, the weird buzzing sound, the onset of SP, my body feeling "light", the blackout that seems to follow etc...the problem is it scares me silly and based on past experience since its so similar to what I described above, and I always stop the process before Its complete and end up waking up or not actually going to sleep I guess.
