      What is deja vu poll?

There seem to be a lot of people in this forum who have either had deja vu, or dreamt the future, or have had premonitions, or something similar. I want to see what everyone's take is on deja vu to try and establish whether it is tied back to an actual dream or whether it is just that it 'feels' like it must have been seen in a dream. For a long time I believed whenever I had a deja vu that I had dreamt it exactly like that in the past. I think all of us have that overwhelming feeling of it being a dream. But the more deja vu experiences I had, the more I started to think that I had never dreamt it before and that it must be something else. One of the main reasons I don't believe they had been dreams is because I know what my dreams are like from having written down 500 or so in my dream journal. They never make sense logically. They move from place to place and the events and people and places would not normally tie up in the waking world. I never dream about the logical and everyday type events that happen during a deja vu sensation. And I certainly have never recorded a dream in my dream journal that I can later say became a deja vu. So the evidence isn't there to support the 'feeling' that I have that it was a dream.

What I want to do is have a poll to see, after reading what I've said above, how many people truly believe that deja vu is when something happens that exactly matches a dream that you have had, or whether it is something else (not stating what that might be).

If you believe it to be a dream that has come true, then think about these things. Firstly think about how exactly the deja vu sensation made you feel that it matched that dream. Think about the events of the deja vu and compare it with your dream journal and what you know of the nature of your dream. Does it fit? Could it really have been a dream? Or is it more likely that the memory is in your mind from some other type of experience (still not saying what that might be)?

SHit! I clicked the wrong one! I think Deja vu is the total absorbtion of the one and only everything...NOW! When you live in one moment for an eternity, or feel that eternity that is, it will look eerily familiar.
