Hmm, I had a OOBE in a LD.

It was still cool to be weightless and be able to go through walls. (and people)

Someone asked about this so I will give some more details. Don't forget it was just a dream not a real OOBE.

I sat there in bed with my eyes closed. (I was sleeping the whole time) I tried for a few minutes to pull myself out of my body. Eventually it worked of course. I got this really wierd tingly feeling throughout my body as I did. I floated up to the ceiling and looked at my self for a couple of seconds. I went to a wall and touched it first then went through it to the outside. I flew around the neighbors house and then into anothers. There was not really much to it. It was just a really cool lucid dream. It makes me want to be able to do a real OOBE. That is if it is safe of course.

No, it was not me really leaving my body in real life. It was just in the dream.

How do you know for sure. I mean you got the body vibrations, you saw yourself sleeping while floating above, you story sounds like an OOBE. Maybe it was so unreal that you felt it had to be a dream and not the real thing? How do you know for sure it was "just a dream"?

I agree. You likely have had an OOBE. It seems that you are resitant to the idea. An OOBE experience will be remembered as a dream, although sometimes more vividly. Some people are afraid to have an OBE thinking that someone can take over your body, which simply can't happen. During an OBE, you project a copy of your conciousness out and then it returns, but a conciousness remains back in your body all the while, so you are safe.

I have not hade an OOBE but from the research, I have done it sounds to me as if you had one. I have to agree with others here that if you are resistant to the fact you had one than it will seem like a dream. If you can except that you had an OOBE and see if you could do it again, it sounds fun.

he said that there wasn't much to it. now does that really sound like an out of body experience? he went through his house, through the neighbors and saw nothing worth noting....

Beserk scares me with his apprentice thing. I know just about as much as a kitchen blender in an K-Mart.

It was an OOBE. Don Degracia says it is possible to OOBE inside a dream. He says "Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projecting is indistungishable from one another".

It felt like any other dream. I have another post somewhere about an OOBE I had that I believed to be real. I felt heat, cold, etc in it. I never feel heat in dreams. That one must have been real. This one I know was not.

Okay, if that is what you call an OOBE. That must mean I have one every night, right? I am talking about actually leaving your body. Not dreaming about leaving your body.

Crucible, was the scenery the same in your dream OOBE as it was in your dream beforehand, or was it the same as it was when you went to bed? If it was the latter, you probably had an OOBE, if it was the former then it was a dream.

      I should try this someday.

Dr Laberge believes that OOBE's are very much LD's - there is a connection - and it is useful to do things like reality checks within OOBE's.
