Can you connect to the internet through sleep? I want to have a .hack (video game) type dream, but I also play a waking, computer game version of the games. I want to level up, regardless of weather I am in the waking or dreaming world.

      Is it possible?
      My dream stats:

      1 LD a week.
      Currently trying MILD.
      Lucid Training time: 6 months.
      Lucid Age: 2 months.

Probably not the "real" internet, (possible though) BUT definitely an artificial internet created by your mind

When once you have tasted flight,
You will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward,
      For there you have been,
And there you will always long to return

You can summon a PC and do what you like with it: delete/add files, send emails, connect to the web. You'll need strong control though, if the text isn't going to morph.. not for beginners.

You'd have to disable your firewall.

I think he means, like, when he plays the game in his lucid dreams, his character levels up in real life, and vice versa...

Elwood I think you are twisting around that whole "nothing is impossible while you're dreaming" phrase. Nothing that is based entirely within your dream is "impossible," but when it involves factors from the outside world the same physical rules apply.

It's just not possible at our human level of understanding to do this. I've tried and the closest I've gotten is to reading messages before they happen. I could not interact or do anything, but I did see a possible future. Now sometimes the messages themself when they actually happen in our time were a little different.

No. I am serious. I also am making my own MMO and it would help if I could.

Also, is it possible to astral project oneself AND have the ability to alter the physical world? As in, I want to pick up a piece of paper in the real world, while dreaming. I could play video games or work on homework. NOW THATS A GOOD ABILITY.

If you are serious, then no. You cannot level up your MMO character in your dreams while sleeping. And no, you cannot bring back things to the real world from your dreams or vice versa. It seems some people in this forum might believe it is possible, and I won't flame them, but no one can do it. Period.

Kza even if you could... think about it.

While you have a lucid dream or astral projection - you are only in it for maybe 5-10 minutes real time. So in reality, you would not get much done. You can dialate dream time but not actual physical world time. You can't dialate both, and to work with what is in the physical, you'd have to follow physical time.

Think about it, dude. Seriously, take 5 minutes and read what you're posting here.

Maybe during an astral projection (in which you leave your physical body) you could somehow influence the physical world, via some sort of energy transformation in the air around you, but not picking up a piece of paper in Berlin and still having it in your hand when you return to your physical body in Jamaica.

And no, your dreams are in your head. When you dream about walking on the sun, no part of you is actually on the sun.

I think this has been well covered, but anyway...

As for the internet connecting - only a internet dreamt up by your subconscious.
As for astral/OOBE with ability to move stuff - some say it is, but there's no hard evidence for it.
I like discussing this with people who claim to do it though.
