What do you class a Obe, also is it just a Ld. I was just thinking our people who say they have Obe's just falling into the same trap that people who claim aliens visit them during the night. Deductive reasoning suggest this to be the truth or the best theory.

Supposedly, in an OBE your spirit body leaves your physical body, and you can travel to different spiritual levels such as heaven, etc. Some people think it is jus a LD, since if you try to affect your environment nothing will have happened when you wake up. I personally just think it's a very realistic LD.

My roommate and I have both had an "OBE" before. I really don't know if I was just dreaming or not though. I was relaxing and meditating on the sofa and suddenly I was outside myself. It's hard to explain since it wasn't as if I was literally just floating over myself like some ghost. Same situation for my friend.

You're not dead when you leave your body, it's just your astral self or energy or mental self or whatever you want to call it that leaves your body. It could be an LD, I don't know I haven't had an obe LD yet!

I'm not really sure on this one, I've heard a lot of opinions. one of these is that when you go to sleep, your astral self departs from your body from dreaming and such, you're just not aware of it. AP is when you are aware of the process and control yourself in the "astral dimension". Lucid dreaming would just be being conscious in the astral, but not being conscious of the split.

[/b] i almost experienced OBE in sleep paralysis,, it was very freaky because i could see my own hands glowing in a ghostly way like that color they always look i guess like (water) but i felt myself seperated from my human body..
