Sometimes, not always. I've never had an OBE, but i've read TONS on them. Some people visit family at the other side of the world, and see what they are doing and did, and phone them later to find out it really happened. So, maybe some type of psychic ability happens, or you really float away and over there, it's 1 of them. Also, people who have operations float out of their body to the roof or down a few stories in the hospital and see/hear stuff they can't see with their body being where it's at, and it gets confirmed as true. I refuse to believe OBE is LD because LD are fake and in your head, and some of these prove to be true and it's like 0.1% chance of getting it right if it was LD you really expierenced, and i don't believe in 'couincudence" for these things.

I had my first OBE last night. I wasn't trying to either. It just happened. From what I can remember, I was in a deep sleep when suddenly something slowly pulled me out. I wasn't aware of anything going on. I was very dazed and kneeling on my bedroom floor by my bed. I saw myself laying on the bed and I knew something wasn't right. I reached out to touch my body and something jerked me back. Someone had a strong hold on my arm and kept pulling me away. I tried to fight it but I wasn't winning. This being was male. I never saw them but I just knew it was a male presence that was pulling me away. I don't know where I was pulled to. I remember everything around me began to change as he pulled me out of my bedroom and down the hallway. I was no longer in my house. I had no clue where I was. It was dark, very dark.

That sounds like it may have been a dream. If you're sure it was an OBE, you may want to look up something called a neg (negative entity) because you may have experienced neg abuse.

      OR

Was it dark in your house? Often things are magnified in the astral so if it was dark, it may have seemed twice as dark, or if your room was messy, it would seem exaggeratedly cluttered. That's how your mind percieves it sometimes.

I'm very certain it was an OBE. I talked to a friend of mine and he's experienced the same thing a few times as well. His were more extreme though.

I'll have to look up some info on negative entities. Thanks for suggesting that. I had no clue what to even look for.

Well the forums at forums.astraldynamics.com know a lot about neg abuse and that sort of thing. You could ask someone there. They are pretty good about getting back to you.

Some elements of OBEs can be highlighted by your surroundings. IE, if my house had green goo everywhere, it may appear to me as much more than it really is in the astral plane. So if you projected at night, or in a dark room, or a messy environment it might make you panic a bit when you go out of body. My first OBE was at night and I freaked OUT

I am starting to doubt this was neg abuse, but i'd read up on it anyway if you plan on making OBEing a regular thing.

      Goodluck!

So I've had a few OBE's in the past, most recently I had one after class when I was taking a nap. I felt my body fall asleep and then I felt a huge falling rush like down a fast rollercoaster and then felt myself rise. It was dark for awhile but eventually I could see my room and explored a little. I saw my body and got close to inspect myself but then I felt pulled back in my body and woke up shortly

I wouldn't say it's a "power" per se, but it can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, and if you're not cautious about who you hang around. The experience itself isn't dangerous, but people you may encounter in the astral can be harmful to you. The actual act of OBEing, however is not dangerous whatsoever.

On second thought, the people there get way too boned up about getting into talk about neg abuse and the wild ways of dealing with evil entities and not excited enough about talking about good OBE's. I saw some freaky stuff on that site. I thought I was going to be a very dedicated member of that site, but I suddenly decided against that.
