Confirmed OBE/LD!

This happened several days ago: I was quite frustrated as I wanted to eat some canned pineapple but I couldn't found the can opener anywhere. Then, the next night I had a OBE or LD.. I was walking into my kitchen and for some reason walked in front of a drawer and opened it. There's lots of drawers in my kitchen!.. The can opener was there! When I woke up in the next morning, I just walked to the kitchen and opened the exactly same drawer, just knowing the lost object really was there. And yes, the opener indeed was in the same place! Then I devoured the pineapples.. I was quite amazed.

I don't mean to pop your bubble but rather to suggest some other possible explanations from a point of view that's a little more scientific.. Alright: perhaps you did have an OBE and that's a possibility that we won't throw away! But there are also other possibilities that might explain what you experienced. Also, the fact that it happened in your every-day environment is actually problematic for the sake of trying to prove that what you experienced was really an OBE. But I'm not trying to judge, so I'll lay out some possible suggestions for the sake of the issue of whether or not it really was an OBE that you experienced. - Do you think that perhaps you dreamed of the place where the can opener was because in your subconscious mind you remembered it's location although on a conscious level you had totally forgotten where it was? - Or maybe you wanted to experience an OBE, and believing that OBEs do exist, you experienced a dream that seemed so real, that it even gave you a nice hard result: the location of the can opener? - On the other hand maybe it's precisely because you wanted to experience an OBE, and believing that OBEs do exist, that you experienced it for real? Do you think that you'd be able to have another similar experience in a completey strange environment? Or perhaps in an envrionment (such as your home) that's not so strange to you but that holds truths to which you have never gained access (for example an attic you've never been in or seen movies about?). Would it be possible to experience another OBE whenever you choose? It's a shame really: psychic powers are incredibly hard for scientists to prove or disprove their existance. All we can say after decades of research on ESPs, OBEs and the like is: "It's never been proven in a controlled environment." =p I hope you have more of these experiences though, thanks for sharing! ^-^

I thought about the subconscious thing, but I don't know.. Pretty nice still, to find something that's lost. But in the dream it felt very real. I'm not sure was it a hazy LD or just a normal dream. I haven't had other strange experiences that I can remember, but at least one predictive dream..

Lol damn straight! You made me hungry for pineapples and pineapple juice! ;D Besides, just 'cause there isn't any proof it doesn't mean it wasn't real! =) What was the predictive dream you had..?

You put it there before but got frusterated because you forgot were you placed it, dreamed of the spot and saw it there.

I agree with flanders. I really really hate to take away the excitement from the story, and I'm no skeptic, I fully believe in and practice OBEs of the astral/etheric natures. What you had was a dream. It is not possible to physically interact with any form of matter in an OBE, because you exist on a different plane. I think Flanders nailed it on the head. You forgot, and your dream helped you to remember. But don't let this discourage you..OBEs are pretty common, and you can learn how to do them at will just as you can learn to LD.
