I was dreaming but felt like I was in this world

Not to long ago I was having a very interesting dream. I was fighting with a group of people only what is odd I was separated from the group of people. The more I tried to find them the further I got away from the orgrinal dream. What was odd though was the realism because each time I ventured in the dream my character lost a lot of the dream abilities I had during the fighting.

Here's where it is weird it felt like I was in this world somewhere interacting with real people. There were so many faces and so many people within the dream. The only way I know I wasn't in the real world fully is my dream self did at one time float in midair, but it was very hard to do that and took a lot of mental image to do so. It was just weird how realistic the place felt plus it wasn't just like a vision of being above I was there interacting with people.

Have you ever had that feeling though where you knew the place was real and knew where the place was that you were at, but knew it wasn't possible because you were not at that place? What's scary is if you look at pictures from that area you find them when you have never seen the images before in your life?

I have no such experience. My dream abilities are not that advanced

What I can share with you is:
      - Touching, tasting, seeing and so on in the waking world are just that --- like a dream without sleep. (I have experienced this)
      - The waking world is an illusion. So are dreams.
      - Seeing the illusion of the waking world and dreams as being inseparable from the Absolute (that is, seeing all phenomena as neither illusion, nor not illusion) will lead to the supreme Enlightenment of Buddhahood.

      Cheers

Yes, it is basically called a schema. Your mind programs information into your head so you will be easier to cope with the insanity...

I had one where the sky was purple blue and green. I was in a village like area, and it was very real feeling, and I remember hinking that this had to be an alternate demension, because someone there told me it was...so yeah. I then woke up a little while later and was like damn, that scenary was beautiful.

And the odds are things that look like something in your dream are just coincidence. If one person can create it, what makes you think that out the countless number of dreams you have that you wouldn't create a copy yourself by chance? =)
