Do Reality Checks work in OBE/Astral projection?

I just had an idea, if reality checks work in an OBE/Astral projection just like they do in a lucid dream. Than doesn't that mean there nothing more than a lucid dream? For example, counting your fingers don't work to well in a lucid dream. So if OBE's are really you leaving your body than shouldn't all aspects of an OBE be equal to being awake, like turning lights on, looking in a mirror etc.

Yes and no, because when you astral project it's your 'spirit' that leaves your body, you're not actually dreaming when you astral project. If you've AP'd and are aware of your surroundings then you shouldn't need to do a reality check, simple as that. Hope this helps

Basicly, when your in an AP, it is really similar to a LD. When you go into an AP, you see everything around you as it is in the real world (atleast, that is what i have experienced in my accomplishments, others say they have gone to other planes right away when they AP, but i always start in the real time plane.. dont know why). When you have an AP, you will know you are in one. It is alot different then an LD, and when you move you can feel things just as if in the real world. It is very weird. In a mirror, i havent really looked into one when i AP, but i belive one of three things. 1. You will see nothing, just because your AP body is all energy. 2. You will see another Plane inside the mirror, and when you enter it you would be brought into this plane. 3. Or, the probable one, you will see your energy body. I dont know for sure. Whenever i have entered into the AP world i never see myself. I just feel where im going, and i can see everything else. Other people say they have seen there bodys, but i dont think that is very true of an AP.

Sort of. It's a similar process, but OBEs require energy work, so sometimes they can take longer. As for looking in a mirror, in reality, you'd see nothing, but your mind cannot comprehend looking in a mirror and seeing nothing, so it creates an image of yourself however your subconscious remembers seeing yourself. Usually you look a little youger in OBEs than you do in waking life.

Heyy Rainman is back. And that makes more sense, i will have to try it out. And i always start out doing an AP by doing the WILD technique, but i add in the ladder falling to higheten my chakra, then i either succeed and go into my vibrations and stick with them, or fail and see my dream coming twards me and get pulled into a WILD. Either way, im happy enough.
