      Premonitions, or future dreams.

I have always known myself that my dreams contain basically 3 elements. People from my past...things related to events that occurred that same day...and elements of the future..people, places, etc.

About 20 years ago, I started having very vivid dreams, and I got pretty good at remembering them when I awoke. About 10 years ago, I started having strong dejavus. It didnt take me long to figure out that they were situations I had seen in my dreams about 8-10 years before.

I hesitate to post this, but about 10 years ago I had a very vivid emotional dream about a man shooting up a mall with a shotgun. I was there with my family, and we escaped. SInce it was 10 years ago, the time for it to happen is now. I just wonder if I will be able to change the situation once I realize I am in it.

Has anyone been able to see the future in their dreams, and then avoid the situation?

I haven't had any premonition dreams, but I have read plenty accounts.

The situation can be avoided, if you choose to act different than in the premonition.

One example is that you are driving your car, and then get a flashback of this special dream. You know that you haven't been there, but the dream matches perfectly with the real world. You remember that on the top of that hill you will be crushed by a big truck. When you come closer to the hill you slow down, you see the truck drive past you, if you were 7 seconds earlier you would have been hit.

      Something like that.

      It's up to you.

if you see the situation coming yes it can be avoided but i can rarely see when its going to happen because my pre-cog. dreams are usually about stupid things.like a watch that i had completely forgot i had...or what order i put my socks on the next morning...lol i hate my future dreams....they're retarded....

I'm not sure if you can change things or not, but recognizing the event is about to take place would be the only chance to changing anything.

For me, premonition dreams usually take place on the day I wake from the dream. There has never been anything I want to change, and everything happens very similarly to my dream. For me, I see positive events that are about to happen, nothing like a mall being shot up by a crazy man with a shotgun.

A friend of mine has premonition dreams that don't take place until 3-4 years down the road. Like you, she has dreams about events where she wants to change the way certain things happen. She believes that this is possible, and I have no reason to doubt her.
