I'm just replying out of interest, but have you tried keeping a written account of things i.e. the lucid dreams you've had, their dates, and then their corresponding events and how closely linked the details are/were? |

I'm sure there are other people here on the forum who have experienced precognitions in their dreams. It's been happening to me for years and I suppose it'd be nice to see that others are experiencing the same thing. I don't want to get rid of it and I don't hate it, just want to know I'm not by myself. The dreams are extremely lucid, they physically feel different from other dreams. I *always* remember my lucid precog dreams, the way that they feel and the little minute details. Four days ago I dreamed I was checking my bank account balance online (stupid mundane dream), only today to re-enact the same thing, reading the balance on the screen identical to how it was in the dream, down to the *cent*. Bear in mind I don't keep a paper ledger. Some dreams happen only days later, some happen literally years later. Another example, years ago I dreamed that there was a man in a uniform pinning a medal on me. Admittedly weird, being that I was 16 and not in the military. Years later after enlisting my LT pinned a NAM on my chest, saying the *exact* congrats line I'd dreamed almost 5 years later. These dreams are happening more and more often, almost 3-4 times a week now. When I do the thing that happened in the dream a sense of deja-vu comes over me, it's almost dizzying and I have to close my eyes and get myself back in a regular frame of mind. It's a frequent thing now and it's almost maddening. Am I the only one feeling this? |

I have not kept a written account, but now that you mention it I really should. I always remember my lucid dreams, even those that are years old, but a written record of it might really help correlate things. The details in the dream are always extremely closely linked to real life, almost exactly all the time. Have you had any of the same experiences? Thanks for your reply! |

I've always thought to myself as having a regularly bad memory, now imagine when related to dreams! I don't think I've ever had a lucid dream. From what I've read, I'd probably know if I did. I've had 'precognitions' but I personally don't think they're anything like what you're experiencing. |

Interesting thread. It's cool that you can tell the precognition dreams from your regular lucid dreams. For how long has this been going on? |
|
For as long as I can remember. It's always been a normal thing and for a long time it never felt "weird". A little disturbing when I dream about bad things, but overall it was never scary even when I was young. For the last year or so it's begun happening a few times a week, and that classic feeling of "deja vu" when a dreamed activity happens is nauseating now. Thank you both for your replies, it's nice to see there are people out there who wouldn't just laugh this sort of thing off. I'll do my best to post my dreams, but I'm a teacher and a military man (ie ridiculously busy |

Well it's a really intriguin topic. I think I've only had one in my life. It was many years ago. I dreamt a friend of mine ran over a bird with his pick-up. And next day it happened |

it can be a bit disconcerting, until you just learn to accept it. Sometimes it's just downright obnoxious (do I really need to dream about going to an ATM? No... |
