      Exclamation I'm no psychic but...

Ok, so I've been studying lucid dreams since I was 19 yrs old. Not a super long time but long enough to get a decent understanding of how wonderful they can be. I've been able to control my dreams on and off now for about 2 years. It's never really stable, but I've had some amazing experiences as a result. However, in the past 2 months, whenever I do have a lucid dream, its all negative, frightening visions of a military future of the US. Geez, I sound crazy. I am also a big fan of politics. By fan I mean, I choose to understand what is going so very wrong in this country. Anyhow, in these dreams very real details both that the government is working on and things we are starting to implement are being used. (The microchip, the national identification card, martial law) These dreams are very real, very scary, and although I can control myself, my reactions and what not, the dream itself is out of my control. These are the most real things to me. I wake up in a panic and terrified for almost the whole day from the images I saw while sleeping. Now, I don't have a history of depression, psychotic behavior, nothing like that. I am simply a rational person that stumbled on Lucid Dreaming as a means to expand my life's experiences. I am desperate at this point for answers. I know I sound like I belong in the loony bin and I'd appreciate as little chastising as we can afford. But if anyone here has an answer I would greatly appreciate it... if not, please don't be judgmental, because unfortunately, I think it sounds crazy too, its very real to me.

I have dreams like that sometimes, but it's more about weather disasters. One was where we were all hiding in a school because the earth had suddenly become too hot or something and we were all panicked and then it started to snow in the blistering hot. Another one was where the sky was red like fire and weird stuff was happening. Alot of times I have dreams about the night and the sky and stars will all be weird and there will be UFOs.

I think that dreams like these are just a form of nightmare. Some people have them about monsters and others about real life scenarios that are scary. One theory about why we dream is that it prepares us for real life situations and we could have dreams like these because that is what we are exposed to in real life and are a possibility.

These types of dreams are scary but I feel that they are just our body giving us practice in case it would happen in real life.

You say you are scared the whole day because of what you dreampt about, and that can be justified being as life would be terrible in the situations u had in your dreams and you don't want that in real life. You just seems to be a little overconcerned about the possibilities of these things actually happening. Just remember that most people don't want life to be that way obviously and it would be very, very difficult for the US to change dramatically that much.

Generally speaking, unless you have had these types of dreams your whole life and have had ample evidence of precognition, you are most likely just having what I call "playground dreams".

This is not to say that they are not emotional, but simply the mind excercising itself during your sleep.

Alternatively, you may be receiving messages from your Spirit Guides. I don't know what Spiritual Path you follow, but many religions and faiths hold great stock in what is communicated to them in the Dreamtime.

If that strikes a chord with you, let me know and I'll be happy to talk to you more about it.
Be yourself - everyone else is taken.

      Hey. First: welcome to DreamViews!
Your dreams sound pretty normal to me. What I mean is that sometimes when you think about something all the time during the day, there's a high possibility that it happens in your dreams. Most of the time, the opposite of how you wanted it to be. Something like nightmares. It can aslo be some bad feeling you have about the things. Like for exemple you have that feeling someone is going to get hurt and you dream about it. Something like messages. yeah... I have those too, sometimes.

You know, this is my own experience with things like this...but if you're really into understanding what's going on in our government/society and what drives it, it can be too much. My husband is really into following consperacy theories and such, and after watching a couple of DVD's and absorbing everything...it can be really disturbing.

Our dreams can be fun, and we can take control of them...but they are also our minds way of working things out and sorting through all of the information you have been storing up on. I don't think it takes a psychic to know where things are headed in this world...you're just dreaming about what you know to be happening...and you're disturbed by it...as most people will be if they really spend some time educating themselves on the subject matter.

Take a deep breath...and take a break from the things that are feeding the fear. If your sleep is no longer restful, you need to take a step back and just let your mind do it's job. Prayer is also always helpful, for me, when I find my dreams to get too disturbing. Good luck!!
