Hello all... I just joined the site, and am wondering if anyone here ever dreams about being with people you know while in the dream..having a past with those people while in the dream, but upon waking, not have any recognition of the people at all...even though you can recall their facial features and the sound of their voices...you have no clue of who they are. Thank you.

Wile I work I ponder things like this (night fill, very mentally taxing ). I have not so much people, but places. When I go there, I have a job, a research job and it feels like it's just part of my routine, like normal job in RL. Im not saying there is a dream world, more likely my subconscious has set up a familiar scene to continue coming back to and complete dormant problems and tasks.

Well....I had a dream long ago that has stuck with me for years because I apparently spoke a different language in it...It only happened once, and I never did find what language it was, because in the dream, I knew what I was saying, but when I awoke, I had no idea what I'd said...I still remember the words..phonetically...."Trez meens purreens"....Apparently it was humorous, because the man I said it to chuckled, as did I... Then I woke up, and was like...

I'm not fluent, but know enough to communicate. My accent is flawless in my dreams though...

It's reasonable to expect to dream in any languages you have learned..I know english and some Cha-tah (Choctaw), but never have dreamed anything but english, except for the dream I described above...and that wasn't Cha-tah...Don't know what it is...I assumed it was a language from this planet....however... hmmmm

In one of them it was a key that I needed. Then in a different dream, she handed me some food because I was lost in the woods. Crazy! I love that lady though...in dream emotions of course. Mwhaaha!

How have you determined them to be *false* memories? As an example, a few nights ago I had a dream where I was buying figures from a movie I had watched the previous tuesday. I elaborated to people on the details of the characters. Now that I am awake, I have no idea what those characters are. It really sounds like a cool movie though. . .

Well...I would'nt want to call that a false memory (of having watched a movie prior to that moment in the dream)...I would wonder why I didn't remember more of what happened prior to that moment.. In one of my dreams, someone was showing me how to do something, and I remembered them showing it to me before, and I told them so..The person asked if I really remembered it, and I said sure... I woke up wondering how I could remember something that wasn't currently present in the dream....All I come up with is that what I awake remebering is just a snippet of a continuous..dream? Of course that causes all kinds of questions...like...can we have multiple lives that go on simultaneously? You know, whenever I start thinking that some things are not possible, I remember that the fact that we exist at all is no more possible than anything else..yet, here we are...
