I heard somewhere that in basic our dreams are created from our experiances in life. For me this is backed up by the fact that the "field" (where it takes place) that my dreams take place at mostly mimics a few different places i regularily visit.
But the location isn't exact to the way it is set out in real life. for example:
Where i live we have a train line come up next to all the shops whith a bridge like crossing that goes over it.
Only in the dream world insted of tracks and a train station it is a dock that connects to a sea. The bridge bit still is there but the buildings of the shops have been "developed" into huge tall buildings aswell in the dream.
The dream world isnt perfect. Simply moving from point A to point B can result in impossible shifts of your suroundings. You can be walking up a gentily sloping hill and before you know it your practicly hanging by your fingertips for your life.
When there are gaps in the infomation that your subconsious has of a location it trys to improvise. It manages pretty well to connect it all up but maintaining it as you move about causes it to glitch resulting in the warping of some of the surrondings that it has to fabricate.
With this in mind it should be possible to fabricate your own places like a hidout or whatever you like to call it, your sacred place perhaps?.
This is my current project and i would like to hear if anyone else has tryed or succseded to acomplish this.
Also feel free to describe the fields that your dreams take place so we can all expand on the infomation our subconsiouses has at hand to use.
