      Returning to your body?

Quick edit: I was tlaking to some people in chat, and what ive been saying through this whole thread, i think i ment AP and not OOB.

Has anyone really left there body before, and not just have a lucid dream where they have left there body. Because id have to say there two different things. Leaving your body, and just dreaming you leave you body... Not the same...
      End edit.

      From what i've been reading.

When you wake up in the middle or the night and your bodys vibrating and going into SP. You can induce a OOB experience, correct?

If i have a OOB experience and leave my body.

How do i return to it exactly?

Thats the thing which has always scared me with Leaving my body.

What if i cant return to it once i leave it...

Normally with a lucid dream i can just "Wake up" if i don't like whats going on.

If i leave my body, i'm not going to be able to "Wake up" I'm literally going to have to go back to where ever my body is.

Do i just lay back down in it or something?

Or is there something specific i have to do to reconnect my consciousness with my body?

Ive never tried having a OOB experience because of this, i'm too afraid that if once i leave my body, i wont be able to get back into it.

If your body is vibrating you are already at the threshold. If you are stuck focus on the top of your head with a couple of slow inhalations then try to roll out. You may need to repeat the roll out action over and over.

For example, you can try to push in one direction very slowly despite you feel stuck. Then abruptly change to opposite direction and you will roll out of your body smoothly.

But if it's possible at the time, separate by flying upward without attempting to move any part of your body. This will increase the objectivity of your perception.

If you try to wake up when you are ("dimensionally") very close to the everyday world you will be sucked back to your body. You may also feel a diminishing pull as you walk away right after separation.

Your legs will likely be missing in this state and your attention will be centered in your chest.

On the other hand, if you are far out there, you will just wake up as you normally would after a dream.

Sometimes you will end up kind of spread across different layers, and you will catch yourself looking through a hole or something seeing your dream body at the other side.

Ive been waking up my whole life with SP.

Not every single day but several times a year ill have a "Episode" of it.

When i wake up at night and i lay back down, and right away my body goes back to sleep and goes into SP, but my mind is still awake and im aware of whats going on.

And i can multipal times move my real life body up, then lay back down and right away SP again.

I read about it years ago and i found out i could leave my body from this point.

But i never tried too i was scared that i may not be able to get back to my body.

      Scary thought....

They next time i wake up with SP and my body's vibrating, im going to try to leave my body.

I really feel like my SC really wants me to leave my body.... I'm sure everything will be okay if i leave, i hope...

Is it possible to contact people who have died once i leave my body...

I really would like to talk to my grandpop again if possible... Not for my own reasons, but just to talk to him and bring any messages back that he would want my grandmom to know, to maybe help her feel better... Shes been upset since he died... I feel so bad for her...

Alright well thanks for the response. Any other information about leaving my body you can tell me would be very useful and very much appreciated.

Here is some thing i can share with you

I was very ill i had some kind of nasty flu or some thing very sickly. Any way i was asleep on my bed in this reality dreaming about laying on a bed having a dream. I herd some scary voices talking to me and i woke up and got out of bed i said "who are you" and the voice said "ME!" very angry and loudly. I became more scared and opened the door to my room and looked out into the hall way. I could see the light shinning though the window it was very bright almost appeared to be solid light I could not see any one else and felt very unearthly. after this i lay back down on to the bed and went back to sleep.

But reminding you that this was going back to sleep within the dream. 2 days later i woke up in to this reality.

I talked to some people about it and they say i may have come very close to dying.

People who have had near death out of body experiences have described wondering how they would get back to their body, or even never wanting to go back to their bodies again. However they all returned immediately when they were resuscitated.

Well, i kinda almost got what i wanted last night but i chicken out.

This morning i woke up at 3 again, and then i went and layed down around 4 - 5, and started lucid dreaming again.

I was lucid dreaming up until about 6:30 mutipal times as normal.

Didn't really have SP where my body was vibrating.

Then at around 6:30, i woke up from my last lucid dream, and i was in SP.

I was going to go back into lucid dreaming when i could feel my spirit attemping to move up out of my body.

I was not expecting this at all and i told my SC no, and my moved my body, and my spirit went back in.

I was not expecting for my spirit to start leaving my body last time. Kinda scared me.

      *sigh*

Edit: the whole reason i got scared and chickened out, well, i didn't realize that my spirit leaving my body would just happen on its own. I figured i had to put some kind of effort into it.

I was just laying there in SP, and it started moving up wards, i could feel myself leaving my body....

Cool... I cant sleep on my back Ever. because i feel my sprite always moving up.

You ever felt that fast falling back down effect? like your sprite is hovering high above you then you feel it get sucked back in.

Your lucky you can get this far. things have happened in my life that have made me scared to even dream.

Ive felt the fast falling down effect whenever i drink too much. But otherwise no.

My spirit was just starting to leave my body, and it shocked / scared me.

I figured i was the one who was suppose to do something to make it leave, i didn't know it would happen on its own.

Next time ill be more prepared i hope...

If two people OBE at the same time, can they take over eachothers body isntead of returning to their own?

      Define "life".

Is it that recognition of the mechanical functions of the body or is it the experience of "consciousness" we seem to think we share?
