      Open Mindedness

It's a term that is used a LOT especially in beyond dreaming,

And this video is the perfect explanation:

Very nice, but very over-worded video. Probably shouldn't be in BD either...

I disagree, i think that open mindedness and our attitudes towards it are pretty vital to serious study and discussion?

Which do you disagree with? That it's too wordy? I think they made their point halfway through the video, and the rest was rather unnessecary. Or that it does not belong in BD? The video has to do with open-mindedness, not OBEs, dreamwalking, etc.

It belongs in BD because it addresses ways of thinking that can harm the honest study of these subjects. I just think that anyone who takes learning (any subject) seriously, they need to be able to think with a genuine open mind.

      "Know thyself."

We need to understand ourselves and our thougth patterns and mental traps before we can understand the wider subjects of the world.

umm, night, that video is saying the exact same thing as the first one just with the guy usuing funny puns instead of examples. So, you just like the delivery more

btw, nice video OP I found it very humorous and I do believe it should be both here and in ED because people throw the term around a lot in both places.

They are somewhat similar but the video he posted talk about close minded people that think they are open-minded. The video I posted explained what is open-minded. You have to look at both sides.

When I said both sides, I meant that you should accept the other person’s theory and your own theory too, because one of the theories could be right.
