Just wanted to discuss Precognitive dreams? ♥

I have foreseen the future in my dreams since i was a young girl. (I have only predicted deaths) But the messages i recieve are not very clear, i can state what is to happen but never when or to who?. Is there anyway at all i can make these messages clearer?&Have you ever had precognitive dreams yourself?. All replies appreciated & Thank~you for reading my post. ♥

I have had precognitive dreams as well. Many of them I do not remember until the event occurs, though, so they're hard to prove. One of them diagnosed a condition that had stumped my doctors. Actually that was 2 dreams because it took 2 messages before I understood what they were trying to tell me.
      well wishes,

It's like a big weight on my shoulders even though i know i shouldn't feel guilt, But i always feel i could of done something to stop it from happening?. ♥

Are you open to the idea that they may not be precognative and may be an example of how good the human brain is at finding patterns and making possible predictions of the future?

You may discover that your feelings of guilt are unfounded, and that you are just a victim of the power of the human brains ability to model the universe and the laws of probability?

Yes of course , The human brain fascinates me. I know myself that these dreams have come true, i wouldn't lie about it. Seen many specialists & psychiatrists from when i was a young girl, as they have caused me great depression & still do. As i actually predicted (Maybe i'm using the wrong word there) My aunties suicide 3 years before it happened. (&many more deaths) It brings me sadness & depression. Most people would say it was a blessing, I see it as a curse.

      Hey Paige,

I was thinking about what you said about your prediction dreams, and was quite taken by how you are open minded to all the options, but also not gullable about it... and it reminded me of another video, that i'd forgoton i'd seen. It's really interesting, and kind of explains in very clear terms how these things can work.

From what you've said I think it'd be right up your street, hope you take the time to watch it. I think you're definitely intelligent enough to "get it".

Let me know what you think...

ps. Its actually far more on topic than that last video.

Does dreams are awesome. There so mysterious and interesting. I wonder what is the truth behind them. Can anyone get them?

I had these dreams too but not as important. I dream a part of the 4th Harry Potter Book before I even read it. I also had a dream that I was playing a game of bowling in a gymnasium with a mentally challenged boy and an African girl. I didn't know either of these people. I don't know if these dreams are coincidences... They seem pretty random to me but they could be. Dreams are random, so it is reasonnable that I dream of something random in real life. (I have nothing against mentally challenged boys and African girls, I actually enjoyed it. I'm saying that 'cause it might have sounded mean. I just wanted to put all the details since I had dream of them too)

(Space explorer) your awesome, Thank~you for all your messages&Comments on my posts. I'm glad we have become friends. I like how open minded you are. Can't beat people who are open minded about everything, The videos are awesome. Like you i only believe in something that has evidentiary support. but i'm not going to knock people who believe in anything else, As what they believe in brings them comfort&Makes them feel somewhat content. As long as people don't push things on me, I'm fine&Will listen to different views&Opinions about religion, It interests me. Thanks again to all your replies on my posts, Much appreciated ♥

I haven't read the books of harry potter yet, But i do plan to in the near future. The human brain is so fascinating, It can do so much. We are unaware of how brilliant it can be i think. Like i said, I'm really confused on how we can do this?. Some people see it as a gift from god, Others see it as the human brain doing the impossible. Personally i believe more on the science side of things but who knows?? It's unexplainable&Like you, i find these dreams to be mysterious and interesting ... I'm not sure alot of people have these dreams?. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precognitive_dreams Article i read on Procognitive dreaming yesterday, You may find some answers to your questions there.

      Question Not just in dreams?.

Just wanted to note i have had preminitions, not just in dreams but also in Waking life? (Short story) When i was 5 years old i walked into my nana's living room, I saw an older lady (My nanas sister) Sitting on the sofa. (There were a few people there it was a small gathering) I had never seen this lady before, I stared at her&I started to cry, my mother asked me what was wrong, I said "She has cancer all over her body&She is going to die" The lady was shook up with what i had said&Got checked out at the doctors straight away. She had infact got cancer all over her body&Died shortly afterwards. That story freaks me out everytime. How can that be possible?. I have many other storys like this. Strange huh' ...

Wow! That's cool. It might explain an experience I already had:
I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom on the third floor of my house. I got out. My parents and brothers were down stairs (Those are all the people that were in the house). I then saw a clear shadow on the floor. It came from my brother's room and it looked like the shadow of an adult. As soon as I saw it it started walking inside my brother's room, I ran to see who it was but when i arrived, there was no one. I actually closed the door behing me and looked all around. Then when I left, my parents and brothers came up and my dad entered my brothers room. I always thought I maybe saw a ghost. But maybe its that I saw the future, when my dad would walk in. i saw his shadow...

My story is not as impressive as yours though. I'm sorry for all the people dying around you. i've never had anyone die. I'm sorry for you. At least you can predict it and do your best to save them...

I have other stories like this but all so little that they could just be illusions as well. That's my big question actually. Are they illusions or true? YOu seem to really have predicted something but me... Knowing that someone would enter the room? That could just be a coincidence... An illusion. I wish I knew.

My godmother is a psichic. I believe her 'cause she ahs predicted everything right before. Most impressive prediction I know of is the one my mom told me. A long time ago, my mom went to see her 'cause she's her brother's whife. My godmother told her that in the next month, she'd fall in love and go live with a man. They'd get 3 boys. My mom didn't believe her. First, she never had a boyfriend before, not that no one loved her, she just never loved anyone. Besides, she wanted 4 or more kids. The next month, she did fall in love with my dad and went to live with him. They had three boys (one of them is me). My dad didn't want anymore and did the thing so they can't have babies anymore. My mom still wishes she had one more kid.

Not long ago, we were over her house (she never predicted my future). My mom told her about my precognitive dreams. She didn't seem surprise. She said something about later. My mom asked her if she would predict my future and she said "later, I don't have my stuff ready" but we stayed there all night... That's pretty weird.

You have an interesting gift, Paige. Now your challenge is to understand death and dying. Maybe this curse can become a tool to help others. Clearly you have a lot of empathy even for total strangers, it can be no coincidence that you are able to see things. I have had precognitive dreams and experiences that foretell death as well and handle it my own way. Though I cannot say it has happened nearly so often.

Consider, your warning for the lady with cancer for a moment. You gave her time in her life to put her affairs in order when she was still well enough to handle it. Time to enjoy what was left of her life and time to say goodbye properly. What a truly wonderful thing you did for her, and you didn't even know it.

The next time you see something ask yourself "why?" and let your mind clear. The answer will come and you will understand the reason you are having the vision. Even if it doesn't work every time, keep trying this and it will become easier for you to clear your mind to allow that internal message to get through.

Don't be surprised if a lot of the time, you cannot prevent what you see, even if you are able to discover who/how. We all pass on in time. I truly hope you can trust me when I say death is not the end. I can't explain, I just know this to be true, not in a sense that I believe in a certain religion and their views on the after death. I have had a very profound sort of contact which allowed me greater understanding of this process. So when you see this, it's important to ask for more information and find out what the best course of action is and whether preventing the death is possible or even best for them. I think sometimes things happen because someone is needed elsewhere, and other times they happen to give an end to suffering.
      well wishes,
      lily

Yet he is still unable to explain why probability on this forum seems to be trumped and people keep coming in saying they've seen the future...

Your card example of 52 choices was in the billions, I'm not sure of this girls visions and their accuracy but something seems strange here.. You still have no actual model of dreams to reality yet...

Why if its a statistical fluke as you yourself said in another thread, does it seem so common.. Nothing flukish about it.
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.

Actually Dreamviews has thousands of members, most of which are fairly devoted to dreaming. If each of these thousands of members has hundreds of dreams per year odds are eventually dream scenarios will begin to match up with actual ones.

I'm not saying you are wrong DeathCell, you seem like quite a reputable member on BD however statistically I don't think the skeptics are trumped yet.

They never will be trumped because they don't have an actual model of statistics..

If its supposed to be rare, even if we are all dreamers... (everyone in the world is albeit we are far more dedicated) why do so many people assuming they aren't lying reporting dream and reality matching up?

Perhaps they want precognitive dreaming to be a reality.
Maybe they do not know that people dream many times a night. They assume that dreams are rare and if you have one it must mean something.

These days however I'm fairly sure if an average dreamer had a precognitive dream they would attribute it to chance.
I have no idea though, I never experienced one. If I did then I could decide whether to tell off the skeptics or believers

I also have many precognitive dreams and many happen in a week or so of me having the dream. Just a few weeks back I had a dream that I got a e-mail from a friend that I had not heard from for many years, and when I woke up in the morning I had a e-mail waiting for me in my inbox from that same person. On a different occasion I had a dream about being promoted at work and within 1 week my manager asked me out of the blue if I wanted a promotion. To help my dreams become clearer I use subliminal messages software on my computer to remind me to remember my dreams as clear as possible. It really helped me and might help you.

Yea, there's no such thing as statistics and probability. What they teach us in school was all made up by some angry scientist who's part of a global conspiracy against the humble new age community.

These days however I'm fairly sure if an average dreamer had a precognitive dream they would attribute it to chance.
I have no idea though, I never experienced one. If I did then I could decide whether to tell off the skeptics or believers
Exactly my point, hard to postulate when you've never had the occurrence.
This was that cult, and the prisoners said it had always existed and always would exist, hidden in distant wastes and dark places all over the world until the time when the great priest Cthulhu, from his dark house in the mighty city of R'lyeh under the waters, should rise and bring the earth again beneath his sway.

I have never had the experience but I have read up on it. It seems like it's just dream events and real events that match up. As I said earlier that's bound to happen with the tens of thousands of dreams you have in your life.
However if I had a dream where a booming voice told me I must believe in precognitive dreams and to prove they were real I would become a millionaire. Then as I was writing in my dream journal I found a winning lottery ticket I might be inclined to believe in their validity.

More important things in life than money.

All these claims of its bound to happen and no real reason as to why?

Just because you have a lot of dreams doesn't explain the correlation..

This bound to claim or statistics show... is not proof because no studies have been done on dreams and waking life linking! You can't use a pack of cards with a set amount of options as reasoning for instance.
