I am sure of nothing, because my whole experience in life is subjective, but there's not really a point in speaking as if I am sure of nothing. That would just be too confusing.

Another question: what about languages: can you understand someone who speaks Spanish even though you don't? So are the actual words or the intent transmitted? Atleast in my dreams, the communication with dream characters is much less verbal than it is in the waking world.

there are little creatures Nomad calls them bablefishes xp he inserts them in his ear and they translate languages, it helps him to translate what I was saying to him in a dream , I wasn't very lucid so I was speaking in spanish to him :P

babelfishes are from Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy aren't they? Also, I'd presume that, even if those didn't work for some people, you could telepathically transmit your intent, or if your good enough, show them pictures as well as ideas mentally of what you mean.

could you please share your theory about SD in different time zones?
Btw i think i got my first confirmation of a SD - great success :) ! The interesting thing is that it was not only in different time zones but also with a difference of couple of days.
So now when im thinking on it and i have an idea about how thats possible at all. Is it possible that our minds - intentions, thoughts, desires are just being recorded there on that plane of common unconsciousness and if they are strong enough they actually attract the other person to which we have some kind of connection. So that person actually can visit our micro world(record) and experience it as well. Which leads to another thought. If we are able to record things there even just like that, i mean normal dream is great. But if you are lucid which means that you visit the plane consciously and you leave a record there then the common unconscious is becoming not so unconscious, right? Another idea: if there are that records there how a lucid dreamer knows that in the moment he sees another lucid dreamer who dreams at the same moment or just sees the record of the lucid dreamer from another session?

Hey WakingNomad.

I managed to get to the Moon with the help of my DG and then went out to call you out and I presume you appeared.

I told you my real name first then my forum alias. The part on the supposed moon and meeting is written down in my dream journal.

I missed to write it down there as I failed to recall it at the moment but I saw several different other characters standing beside you at the end. I think it was 4 people. Standing in a row of sorts.

You already have your own world. You should focus on going to your Inner World in a dream, and explore it. It's a world on the dream plane created by you, and it is you, in a sense.

My time zone theory is that time does not exist on the dream plane, at least not with our understanding of it. Raven and I shared a dream 10 months apart. I also read about a man and his father that shared a dream that was ten years apart.

Waking Nomad, your ideas on time zones, well...im sorry, but that really is way to farfetched. Maybe a shared dream is possible in the same TZ, but if you share a dream with raven 10 months apart, its most likely because you spoke about it, or read ravens DJ. Highly unlikely, and imo, most likely wishful thinking.

The SD in different time zones makes sense. Everything is possible. But that also implies that most probably we have more SDs than we suspect. Only is difficult to confirm them because of the different time of the actual dreaming of the ones sharing the dream. And even cooler you might be share dreaming with dead people as well, at least i suppose so.

Is it possible to talk to the dead, do you need to go to a specific place? How can you tell if you are talking to a real person or a DC? I had a dream that I saw my dead father while having a lucid dream (after doing a WILD I flew out of the house, down the street into an unknown place and there he was), he was living his life on the dream plane as if everything was normal (like it was real life) and when I called out to him he didn't recognise me. In another lucid dream I saw my dead uncle, he seemed to be trapped in a dream with DC character versions of his grandchildren, he was hiding behind the tv, and when he saw me he grabbed me, hugged me and and told me that he was scared and alone, his touch felt so real - please nomad, help me shed some light on this - were these just dreams created in my own subconscious or something more? what does it mean?

Bach? funny, the first dead guy that i would want to talk to would be Vivaldi :cheeky:

don't remember his face. He usually sits in a dark music hall playing keyboard and composing. Whoever visits him gets a few pages of music they can take with them, and try to remember it later. I like vivaldi just as much hehe.

Did he give anything to you? And if he did, could you remeber it? Knowing that Bachs pieces are in general very complex, i probably would not.

You say you like Vivaldi too, have you visited him? and if yes, then how was it?

I had a LD and decided to visit the Moon. I just shouldn't have tried to fly there. I only got to about 70 metres high. Gotta try teleporting next time.

Ha - I tried to do the same (in a LD), I flew towards the moon, it took a while but then when the moon got closer it turned out to be just a centre piece model/sculpture in the middle of a city - it was all inception style - the city was vertically up. I just couldn't manage to fly there... (I can't create portals yet)

Speaking to dead people is possible if you convince yourself it is(if you always tell yourself it's only your subconsciousnes, you won't be able to contact the actual person anyway). I've spoken to people that could be considered dead a few times...
People who die don't simply dissapear, they simply travel to another world/another reality. That's why you can still contact them.
I could really talk about this all day, but I don't think anyone's interested...xD

Also - I speak to everyone using feelings, not words... You send a feeling or a visual to the person that you're speaking with and his own mind catches those and interprets those into his own language! That's why in shared dreams there are tiny differences between people's dreams - they get interpreted a tad bit differently. Words or visuals, everything gets interpreted using your own mind, your memories, your experience and your inner dictionary...
If you convince yourself that you can't understand another person, you'll just be building obstacles for yourself. If you can't believe that it's possible to overcome that language barrier, using some sort of tool like Nomad's ear thingies...whatever they are, could be useful too. It's like if you can't fly in a dream, you grab ahold of an airplane and it lifts you up. The result is the same.

Anyhow, I had a dream that I was teaching my little brother about lucid dreaming. At first I was inside my little brother's dream and was telling him about what dreams are. I told him that dreams show him his problems and his inner struggles or something. He was a bit annoyed and asked me what's the use of them if they only show you. I told him that's when the next step comes in or something. I forced myself to have a false awakening, told something to my brother and went to sleep again with the intent of having a lucid dream again. This time, I told my little brother to ask the dream a question about his problem/struggle. The dream answered and then I think I woke up for real. I asked my brother the next day but he couldn't remember his dreams T_T
