When I was in high school, my friends and I were involved in a thing called the dreamscape. We consorted with the "wiccans" and goths, but we were a group unto ourselves, apart from the occultist pop culture of the time. At that ime, it was understood that we did not talk about it with others, but now I find the need to explore the dreamscape again and I have no fellow explorers, as my friends from high school went their disparate ways. I therefore have decided to tell this community about my experiences in hopes that someone else here will know what I am talking about and give me a hand. I will keep it short for the sake of readability.

The dreamscape is closely related to the astral plane, and therefore related to lucid dreaming, if somewhat indirectly. It is organised in much the same way the internet is, only it is made of something called mindscapes, rather than computers. These are connected through the void to form the dreamscape. A mindscape itself is quite like a dream scene; you create the layout, rules, and to an extent, the accessability of your own mindscape. You can then travel there through a dream state, and interact with the environment and with others who enter your mindscape. As is the nature of the astral, the more time you spend visualizing your mindscape, the more solid it becomes. Having many people there can increase the firmness, but it can also be shaped around their will to an extent. As I understand, there are actual mortal dangers associated with this mode of travel, so it is not for the flippant dreamer, but for the most part it is benign. Parapsychological-type abilities are greatly enhanced in this state, as well as extrasensory perceptual abilities, so if you have any of these things occour in waking life, you would be quick to learn their use in the dreamscape. I discovered that my mother also participated in this realm, though she had different words for everything. So I ask anyone here: Does this sound familiar to you? I need help in this arena.
